PAWA Airlines habría desviado inversiones a una aerolínea de capitales españoles
El Instituto Dominicano de Aviación Civil (IDAC), ha reunido informes de que PAWA Airlines desvió sus inversiones a una línea española. Las autoridades aeronáuticas dominicanas se encuentran facultadas a intervenir para reclamar a PAWA Airlines el cumplimiento de la deuda millonaria contraída con el Estado de República Dominicana.
Sin desvelar el nombre de la aerolínea española en cuestión, Alejandro Herrera sostuvo que el Ministerio Público del país buscará hacer que la quebrada aerolínea cumpla con sus obligaciones. En medio del proceso de investigación que se le sigue a PAWA; el IDAC y la Junta de Aviación Civil (JAC) se disponen a solicitar la extradición al país del Director de la línea aérea, Simeón García. Sostienen que en principio se buscó un acuerdo de conciliación para que García pagara más de un millón de dólares, pero él y los ejecutivos de la aerolínea no han respondido a esa propuesta. “Solo al IDAC esta empresa le adeuda US$1 millón por la tasa aeroportuaria, los aviones son prácticamente ‘cascarones’, con la excepción de uno que estará siendo recuperado”, informó a Alejandro Herrera.

The Dominican Institute of Civil Aviation (IDAC) has gathered reports that PAWA Airlines diverted its investments to a Spanish line. The Dominican aeronautical authorities are authorized to intervene to claim from PAWA Airlines the fulfillment of the millionaire debt contracted with the State of the Dominican Republic.
Without revealing the name of the Spanish airline in question, Alejandro Herrera maintained that the country’s Public Ministry will seek to make the bankrupt airline comply with its obligations. In the middle of the investigation process that is followed to PAWA; the IDAC and the Civil Aviation Board (JAC) are preparing to request the extradition to the country from the Director of the airline, Simeón García. They argue that in principle a conciliation agreement was sought for Garcia to pay more than a million dollars, but he and the executives of the airline have not responded to that proposal. “Only the IDAC this company owes US $ 1 million for the airport fee, the airplanes are practically ‘shells’, with the exception of one that will be being recovered”, Alejandro Herrera informed.
