Un Boeing 737 MAX de Southwest Airlines sin pasajeros aterriza de emergencia en Aeropuerto Orlando

Un avión Boeing 737-8 MAX, operado por Southwest Airlines, aterrizó este martes de emergencia en el Aeropuerto Orlando, Florida, de donde había despegado poco antes, tras reportar problemas en el motor, informó la Administración Federal de la Aviación (FAA). La aeronave, en la que sólo viajaban el piloto y el copiloto, “dio media vuelta y aterrizó de manera segura en Orlando”, indicó la FAA.

El vuelo SW-8701 se dirigía a Victorsville, California, donde sería enviado a un depósito de Southwest Airlines, luego que el Gobierno de Estados Unidos prohibiera que los Boeing 737 MAX continuaran volando para las aerolíneas. Los pilotos de un Boeing 737-8 MAX de Southwest Airlines se han declarado en emergencia a los diez minutos de despegar del Aeropuerto Orlando, el Martes 26 Marzo 2019. Reportaron problema con uno de los motores. El avión iba a ser posicionado en Aeropuerto Victorville para ser almacenado a la espera de las correcciones del Sistema MCAS.
