Airbus entrega la familia A320NEO número 1.000
Airbus Group ha superado un hito clave para la Familia A320NEO con la entrega número 1.000 a la aerolínea IndiGo de la India. El avión entregado es un A321NEO ensamblado en su Planta de FAL Hamburgo, que fue entregado a la compañía de bajo costo IndiGo en arrendamiento de CDB Aviation Lease Finance.
Celebrando las 1.000 entregas estubieron presentes Michael Menking, Jefe del Programa A320 de Airbus, con el Presidente Ejecutivo de IndiGo, Rono Dutta y Michael Culhane de SVP, junto al nuevo avión en CDB Aviation Lease Finance. El hito significativo se produce menos de cuatro años después de la entrega del primer A320NEO, en Enero 2016 a Lufthansa. En comparación, la entrega de los primeros 1.000 modelos A320 originales tomó más de una década, entre 1988 y 1999. Las entregas totales de la familia A320 superan los 9.100 aviones.
El operador indio IndiGo es el cliente más grande de la familia A320NEO del mundo, con pedidos de 430 aviones. También tiene la flota A320NEO más grande del mundo, con 96 aviones desde que se entregó por primera vez en Marzo 2016.
El montaje del A320 se lleva a cabo en cuatro sitios a nivel mundial: Toulouse (Francia), Hamburgo (Alemania), Tianjin (China) y Mobile (Estados Unifdos). El primer A321NEO se entregó en 2017, el primer A321LR en 2018. Airbus también ofrece un A319NEO, pero no ha comenzado las entregas. Airbus Group has surpassed a key milestone for the A320NEO Family with the 1,000th delivery to India’s IndiGo airline. The aircraft delivered is an A321NEO assembled at its Hamburg FAL Plant, which was delivered to the low-cost IndiGo company in lease from CDB Aviation Lease Finance.
Celebrating the 1,000 deliveries were present Michael Menking, Head of the A320 Program of Airbus, with the Executive President of IndiGo, Rono Dutta and Michael Culhane of SVP, next to the new aircraft in CBD Aviation Lease Finance. The significant milestone occurs less than four years after the delivery of the first A320NEO, in January 2016 to Lufthansa. In comparison, the delivery of the first 1,000 original A320 models took more than a decade, between 1988 and 1999. Total deliveries of the A320 family exceed 9,100 aircraft.
The Indian operator IndiGo is the largest customer of the A320NEO family in the world, with orders for 430 aircraft. It also has the largest A320NEO fleet in the world, with 96 aircraft since it was first delivered in March 2016.
The assembly of the A320 is carried out in four places worldwide: Toulouse (France), Hamburg (Germany), Tianjin (China) and Mobile (Uniform States). The first A321NEO was delivered in 2017, the first A321LR in 2018. Airbus also offers an A319NEO but has not started deliveries. The last variant of the A320NEO, the A321XLR, will enter service in 2023.
