Aerolíneas Argentinas despide al último Airbus A340 de su flota

En las primeras horas del Lunes 17 Febrero 2020, el último Airbus A340-300 de Aerolíneas Argentinas, completando su último vuelo comercial en la aerolínea. El último avión A340-300 matrícula LV-FPU de la aerolínea aterrizó en Buenos Aires, sirviendo el vuelo regular AR-1133 procendente de Madrid, España, cerrando un capítulo a la historia de las aeronaves de largo recorrido en la compañía aérea.

El Airbus A340 se incorporó a Aerolíneas en Junio 1999, abriendo sus destinos internacionales, permitiendo a la compañía explotar rutas de largo recorrido ampliamente sin penalización ETOPS. Aerolíneas Argentinas había incorporado Airbus 340 de las series 200/300 para realizar operaciones de largo alcance propulsado por cuatro motores CFM56-5C4, que proporcionan 34.000 libras de empuje cada turbina.
