Israel primer vuelo comercial a Emiratos tras acuerdo diplomático
Después de firmar un acuerdo entre Israel y los Emiratos Árabes Unidos para normalizar las relaciones diplomáticas, este Lunes 31 Agosto 2020se oficializa el primer vuelo comercial entre Israel y los Emiratos Árabes Unidos (EAU) despegando del Aeropuerto Ben Gurion de Tel Aviv. A bordo se encontraban miembros del Gobierno israelí y estadounidense que negociaron las partes para abrir las economías en la región. Según el yerno de Donald Trump y asesor principal en asuntos internacionales, Jared Kushner, este es un “viaje histórico” a Oriente Medio.
El comandante de vuelo Tal Becker recordó que “esta será la primera vez que una aeronave matriculada en Israel sobrevolará Arabia Saudita y que todos estamos ilusionados y esperamos que más vuelos históricos nos lleven a otras capitales de la región, haciéndonos hacer avanzar a todos hacia un futuro más próspero”. El avión, un Boeing 737-800 de la aerolínea El Al Airlines, tenía un diseño especial para el viaje, con la palabra “Paz” escrita en tres idiomas.
