Fuerte reclamo trabajadores de aerolíneas low cost al Gobierno
La República Argentina está marcando un récord mundial al sostener desde hace casi siete meses las restricciones de fronteras y tráfico aéreo. El sostenimiento durante tanto tiempo de la cuarentena ha demostrado las incapacidades del Gobierno de ordenar la situación sanitaria en favor de reactivar el transporte en el país. Los vuelos regulares continúan sin reactivarse envista del incremento de los contagios comunitarios, y los trabajadores de aerolíneas de bajo costo reclamaron este Jueves 1 Octubre 2020 frente a la sede del Gobierno nacional, la Casa Rosada y en todo el país con la intención de reiniciar las operaciones cuanto antes, después de dos postergaciones.
Los empleados de las aerolíneas de presupuesto Flybondi Líneas Aéreas y JetSmart Airlines Argentina han profundizado los reclamos en todo el país y con epicentro en la sede del Gobierno nacional y el Ministerio de Transporte. La protesta se realiza el mismo día en el que se suponía que debían comenzar los vuelos, pero que finalmente el Gobierno postergó, en principio, para el 12/10. Además del reclamo del reinicio de los vuelos, reclaman que se mantenga operativo el Aeropuerto Internacional El Palomar con operaciones las veinticuatro horas (H24). “Las indefiniciones por parte de las autoridades nacionales generan preocupación y angustia en los más de 10.000 trabajadores directos e indirectos vinculados al desarrollo de las low cost. Todos los trabajadores sabemos que cuanto más tiempo pasa y más se dilata el comienzo más en riesgo se ponen nuestros puestos de trabajo. Previendo que el reinicio será con una operación reducida y con muy pocos pasajeros, ninguna de las aerolíneas privadas que operan hoy en Argentina pueden aguantar mucho más tiempo sin volar. Hoy aún no hay certezas a través de comunicados oficiales del gobierno que indique fecha cierta de inicio de nuestra actividad ni que se vaya a efectuar desde el Palomar. Por el contrario, circulan versiones que indican que la actividad aerocomercial se reiniciaría recién en Noviembre o Diciembre”, señala el comunicado por la representación sindical de los trabajadores de las dos aerolíneas, ATAF y ASTJ.
La situación de Argentina en relación a la continuidad de su política de fronteras cerradas es única en el mundo. Cuestionan, además, que las postergaciones en el reinicio de los vuelos “sólo favorece a que haya una sola aerolínea volando y puede lograr que finalmente ocurra lo mismo que en otras industrias: empresas que se van, pymes que cierran, miles de personas en la calle”. En el reclamo, que desde el Ministerio de Transporte se trasladó a la Casa Rosada, los representantes sindicales de los trabajadores insistieron en el reclamo de “volver a trabajar y tener una fecha certera, que no haya más dilataciones. Y que sea desde el Aeropuerto de El Palomar, y que esté operativo las 24 horas del día”, insisten, mientras más de un centenar de los trabajadores, con banderas y carteles con reclamos al Gobierno cantaban “queremos trabajar”. Piden fecha de inicio para la vuelta de la actividad, ya que advierten que caso contrario se quedarán sin trabajo más de 10 mil familias.
IATA respalda trabajadores
En la misma sintonía que los trabajadores de las low cost, en las últimas horas desde la Asociación de Transporte Aéreo Internacional (IATA) advirtieron que “Argentina va camino a los ocho meses con vuelos suspendidos y es el período más largo en todo el mundo de restricciones de fronteras y tráfico aéreo”.
La demora en el inicio de las operaciones aéreas en la Argentina y la misma crisis generada por la pandemia de Coronavirus provocaron que varias líneas aérea internacionales decidieran suspender y cancelar sus rutas a la Argentina tanto por las postergaciones del reinicio de operaciones como por los incrementos de costos derivados del impuesto PAIS. Es el caso de Air New Zealand la primera en anunciarlo oficialmente, Emirates Airlnes y Qatar Airways, más el cierre de Latam Airlines Argentina anunciado a mediados de Junio 2020.

On the contrary, there are versions that indicate that the commercial aviation activity would only restart in November or December”, says the statement by the workers’ union representation of the two airlines, ATAF and ASTJ.
The situation of Argentina in relation to the continuity of its policy of closed borders is unique in the world. They also question that the postponements in the restart of flights “only favors that there is a single airline flying and can finally make the same thing happen as in other industries: companies that leave, Pymes that close, thousands of people in the street”. IATA supports workers
In the same vein as low cost workers, in the last hours from the International Air Transport Association (IATA) they warned that “Argentina is on its way to eight months with suspended flights and it is the longest period in the world of border and air traffic restrictions”.
The delay in the start of air operations in Argentina and the same crisis generated by the Coronavirus pandemic caused several international airlines to decide to suspend and cancel their routes to Argentina both due to the postponement of the restart of operations and the increases in costs derived from the PAIS tax. This is the case of Air New Zealand, the first to officially announce it, Emirates Airlnes and Qatar Airways, plus the closure of Latam Airlines Argentina announced in mid-June 2020.
