Gobierno habilita vuelos pero continúa evaluaciones factibilidad
El Gobierno de Argentina ha aprobado la reapertura controlada de los vuelos domésticos en el país a partir del Jueves 15 Octubre 2020, mientras las aerolíneas reprograman las frecuencias de acuerdo a los protocolos biosanitarios vigentes y a las rutas aéreas aprobadas. La tracción de la reactivación aérea será lenta, teniendo presente que las programaciones no pueden coordinarse en días o semanas por el desconocimiento acerca de qué destinos estarían habilitados por las provincias respectivas. De todos modos las aéreas low cost se encuentran planificando la diagramación de los vuelos desde el Aeropuerto Internacional El Palomar.
Tras las aprobaciones de las habilitaciones de los vuelos desde el aeropuerto low cost, el Gobierno ha expresado las intenciones de que las operaciones hacia la reapertura continúen en esta aeroestación en una primera instancia.
La aerolínea Flybondi Líneas Aéreas trabajará sobre un plan de rutas reducido y adaptado a la baja demanda, dadas las restricciones. Tiene previsto dar inicio a la operación doméstica el 26 de Octubre de 2020. “Estamos a la espera de mayores definiciones y sabemos que estamos sujetos a la aprobación de las provincias. Aguardamos las precisiones”, señalaron fuentes de la aerolínea low cost. De la misma manera, JetSmart Airlines Argentina ha expresado el reinicio de manera progresiva a la actividad aérea a los destinos que atendía en la pre-pandemia: Ushuaia, Bariloche, Neuquén, Mendoza, Córdoba, Tucumán, Salta, Iguazú, Rosario y Buenos Aires. “Se mantienen los destinos programados y se está trabajando en el armado de las rutas”, dijeron desde la aerolínea JetSmart Argentina.
De todos modos, los servicios aéreos de cualquier aerolínea estarán sujeto a aprobaciones por parte de las provincias y la Agencia Nacional de Aviación Civil (ANAC) de manera coordinada, por lo que las programaciones de vuelos no serán instantáneas en las semanas. Por ejemplo, si se intenta comprar un pasaje en este momento, los resultados de búsqueda en los sitios web de las líneas aéreas arrojan disponibilidad de vuelos para la ruta Buenos Aires-Córdoba el 23/10. En caso de que los vuelos sean suspendidos en algunas rutas, los pasajeros cuentan con políticas de tickets flexibles para realizar cambios de fecha sin penalidad.
Aunque el regreso de los vuelos regulares de cabotaje significa un alivio para las líneas aéreas, después de más de doscientos días de parálisis económico, están lejos de recuperar el nivel de ocupación habitual.
El Palomar, compás de espera
El funcionamiento del Aeropuerto El Palomar también genera cierta incertidumbre a mediano plazo. Flybondi y JetSmart se encuentran retomando sus operaciones desde la terminal aérea, que desde el inicio de los vuelos low-cost en 2018, ha movilizado 2,9 millones de pasajeros, ha generado un compás de espera después de los dichos del Ministerio de Transporte. En el acto realizado el Martes 13/10, Mario Meoni, actual responsable de la cartera de Transporte, ratificó que El Palomar estará operativo en los próximos meses, pero puso en duda su continuidad en el mediano y largo plazo advirtiendo que hará un estudio extenso a través del Organismo Regulador del Sistema Nacional de Aeropuertos (ORSNA) para evaluar su infraestructura y definir la viabilidad del proyecto. “Se están haciendo obras en Aeroparque y Ezeiza. Tenemos que evaluar si podemos sostener tres aeropuertos y si tiene capacidad de repago. Dependerá del volumen de negocio que puedan generar las compañías que allí operan”, expresó Mario Meoni.
Hace un mes, la Jueza Federal de San Martín, Martina Forns, rechazó el pedido de cierre del aeropuerto, pero continúa la cautelar que restringe los vuelos nocturnos en esta aeroestación. Cuando se retomen, se mantendrá la prohibición de los despegues y aterrizajes entre la franja horaria de las 22:00 y las 07:00 horas. La Cautelar se encuentra tramitada en la Sala 1 de la Cámara Federal, que se deberá expedir al respecto.
Perspectivas El Palomar
Tras los dichos del Ministerio de Transporte, el Gobierno toma distancia en el mediano plazo para definir qué hacer con el Aeropuerto El Palomar, que ha generado infinidades de reclamos desde diferentes sectores, pues el primer aeropuerto low cost de Sudamérica se encuentra entre la disyuntiva por cuestiones medioambientales y aspectos operativos-económicos por parte de la concesionaria aeroportuaria Aeropuertos Argentina 2000 (AA2000). Se habre un nuevo capítulo para El Palomar, donde será necesario que todos los intereses converjan para encontrar una solución definitiva priorizando el beneficio de todos los argentinos.

Prospects El Palomar
