El acuerdo de expansión del Aeropuerto Internacional Tweed/New Haven Airport HVN/KHVN de Estados Unidos de US$ 100 millones de Dólares anunciado en Mayo 2021, se ha rubricado este Viernes 18/06 como parte de las proyecciones de ampliación e incremento del tráfico de pasajeros. La Autoridad Aeroportuaria de Tweed-New Haven votó para aprobar el acuerdo de tres partes entre la aeroestación, la compañía aérea Avelo Airlines, y el operador aeroportuario Avports. “Bajo el acuerdo, Avelo Airlines invertirá US$ 1.2 millones para varias mejoras en la terminal existente del aeropuerto, el edificio administrativo, el estacionamiento y otras áreas, enfocado a mejorar la experiencia del cliente a medida que Avelo se dispone a comenzar las operaciones en Tweed”, dijo el Director de la Autoridad Aeroportuaria Sean Scanlon.

Agencias argentinas acusan a aerolíneas de frenar los reembolsos
Las agencias de turismo han presentado los reclamos a las aerolíneas en la República Argentina por las demoras en los reembolsos en 30 días, pero demoran hasta ocho meses. La Federación Argentina de Asociaciones de Empresas de Viajes y Turismo (Faevyt) emitió un duro comunicado en el que acusa a las compañías aéreas de incumplir con los plazos que la ley argentina establece para los reembolsos de pasajes no volados como consecuencia de la pandemia. Aseguran que se trata de una demora excesiva y muchas veces injustificada que afecta económicamente a las agencias de viajes, por lo que pide la inmediata intervención del Gobierno nacional. Los reclamos continúan desde hace meses sin obtener respuestas al respecto.
La paralización de las economías en todo el mundo ha tenido un impacto en el turismo y la aviación comercial debido a la crisis sanitaria global. La imposibilidad de cumplir con los contratos de viajes está poniendo a toda la cadena comercial en una situación de tensión máxima. En Argentina se establecieron criterios para garantizar la sustentabilidad de las empresas prestadoras y, al mismo tiempo, defender el dinero de los consumidores. Pero, según la Federación Argentina de Asociaciones de Empresas de Viajes y Turismo (Faevyt), las aerolíneas no están cumpliendo esas normas.
En Marzo 2021, ante la cancelación de los vuelos con Brasil, Chile y México, la entidad había pedido al Ministerio de Turismo y Deportes nacional su intervención ante las compañías para que sean flexibles en sus reprogramaciones, al menos no cobrando penalidad que siga afectando a un consumidor.
El comunicado emitido por Faevyt este Miércoles 16 de Junio de 2021, la federación turística acusa a las aerolíneas por la “demora excesiva y muchas veces injustificada en recibir los reembolsos de los billetes de pasaje que las aerolíneas comerciales ya han percibido, correspondientes a los tickets de cientos de miles de turistas que perdieron su posibilidad de viaje a causa del COVID-19. En algunos casos, la demora en responder por parte de algunas aerolíneas, es de más de ocho meses. Incluso, bajo la justificación del vencimiento del pasaje, niegan la posibilidad del reembolso en momentos que, dadas las restricciones dispuestas por los Gobiernos de los diferentes países a raíz de la pandemia, se requiere brindar soluciones extraordinarias y eficaces”, sostienen dede Faevyt.
Pero el problema, afirman, no es simplemente conceptual, ético o jurídico, sino directamente económico, pues afecta las cuentas y la sustentabilidad de las agencias. “Este incumplimiento en los reembolsos y falta de flexibilidad por parte de las aerolíneas redunda en un grave perjuicio económico para las agencias de viajes: dado que, a pesar de cumplir un rol de intermediarias, son en algunos casos parte de litigios judiciales que deben sobrellevar a causa de la disconformidad y reclamos de los pasajeros”, explicaron. Además de incumplir con las normativas argentinas vigentes, la Faevyt señala que las compañías están desconociendo el propio contrato IATA en lo que se refiere al deber de indemnidad.
Ante los reclamos efectuados, anticiparon que solicitarán “la inmediata intervención de la Administración Nacional de Aviación Civil (ANAC), a fin de que, en su carácter de autoridad de aplicación de las líneas aéreas, arbitre los mecanismos para que las aerolíneas cumplan con el sistema de reembolsos, en el marco y bajo las normas que corresponda aplicar a quienes incumplan”.

Even under the justification of the expiration of the ticket, they deny the possibility of reimbursement at a time that, given the restrictions established by the Governments of the different countries as a result of the pandemic, it is necessary to provide extraordinary and effective solutions”, dede Faevyt maintains.
But the problem, they affirm, is not simply conceptual, ethical or legal, but directly economic, since it affects the accounts and the sustainability of the agencies. “This non-compliance in reimbursements and lack of flexibility on the part of the airlines results in a serious economic damage for travel agencies: given that, despite fulfilling a role of intermediaries, they are in some cases part of legal litigation that they must endure because of the disagreement and claims of the passengers”, they explained. In addition to failing to comply with current Argentine regulations, Faevyt points out that the companies are ignoring the IATA contract itself as regards the duty of indemnity.
Faced with the claims made, they anticipated that they will request “the immediate intervention of the National Civil Aviation Administration (ANAC), so that, in its capacity as enforcement authority of the airlines, it may arbitrate the mechanisms for airlines to comply with the reimbursement system, within the framework and under the regulations that correspond to apply to those who do not comply”.

El Lunes 21/06, arribará a argentina otro vuelo con 1,1 millones de dosis de AstraZeneca. Esta partida llegará al Aeropuerto Ezeiza en un vuelo por la mañana proveniente de Estados Unidos, que forman parte de los lotes producidos en forma conjunta con México.
El primer vuelo AR1064 de Aerolíneas Argentinas despegó hacia China con un Airbus 330-200, matrícula LV-GIF este Sábado 19/06 a las 13:18 hs, tras realizar una escala técnica en Madrid para reabastecimiento de combustible arribará a China. Está previsto que el avión permanezca en suelo chino hasta las 03:15 hs (16:15 hs. Domingo 20/06 de Argentina) y emprenda el regreso haciendo una escala de reabastecimiento en el Aeropuerto Madrid/Barajas para arribar finalmente a Ezeiza a las 19:10 del Lunes 21/06. Mientras que este Domingo 20/06, y con el mismo esquema horario, el segundo vuelo AR1066 aterrizará en Argentina el Martes 22/06 a las 19:10 hs.
“Con estos vuelos, realizamos veintiséis operaciones y superamos los 15 millones de dosis transportadas. Se trata de otra excelente noticia que permitirá continuar con la mayor campaña de vacunación y que más argentinos y argentinas puedan vacunarse. Estamos cumpliendo una tarea fundamental cuando el país más lo necesita. Con estos dos vuelos seguimos alimentando la campaña de vacunación y la esperanza de poder salir pronto de esta crisis sanitaria sin precedentes. Estamos orgullosos de poder cumplir un rol tan importante cuando el país más lo necesita”, dijo el CEO de la compañía, Pablo Ceriani.
Aerolíneas Argentinas lleva completados un total de cinco vuelos a la República Popular China, en los cuales fueron trasladas 3.659.200 de vacunas producidas por el China National Pharmaceutical Group Corp. A la vez, se realizaron hasta el momento, diecinueve vuelos a Moscú en los que se transportaron 9.473.290 dosis, por lo que en veinticuatro operaciones se trajo un total de 13.132.490 de vacunas.
