Gobierno y Ethiopian Airlines firman acuerdo para startup
Zambia Airways regresó el Miércoles 01/112 al cielo casi treinta años después de su liquidación en 1994. La aerolínea de Zambia ha restablecido sus operaciones después de que el Gobierno de Zambia firmara un acuerdo de participación accionaria con Ethiopian Airlines en 2018.
Zambia Airways ha estrenado un Bombardier Dash 8 Q400 que ha realizado su primer vuelo desde el Aeropuerto Internacional Kenneth Kaunda en Lusaka, la capital de Zambia, hasta el Aeropuerto Internacional Simon Mwansa Kapwepwe en la ciudad de Ndola de la Provincia de Copperbelt.
El Ministro de Transporte y Logística, Frank Tayali, dijo que el lanzamiento de la aerolínea nacional era un paso en la dirección correcta, ya que el país se esfuerza por convertirse en un centro del sector de la aviación en la región del sur de África. Expresó su optimismo de que el lanzamiento ayudará a acelerar el desarrollo de otros sectores como la industria del turismo.
La aerolínea operará con una frecuencia de cinco a seis veces por semana a Ndola y la ciudad sureña de Livingstone. Efectuará inicialmente rutas nacionales antes de introducir destinos regionales en Sudáfrica y Zimbabue en el primer trimestre de 2022.

Government and Ethiopian Airlines sign startup agreement
Zambia Airways returned to heaven on Wednesday 01/112 almost thirty years after its liquidation in 1994. The Zambian airline has re-established operations after the Government of Zambia signed a shareholding agreement with Ethiopian Airlines in 2018.
Zambia Airways has launched a Bombardier Dash 8 Q400 that has made its first flight from Kenneth Kaunda International Airport in Lusaka, the capital of Zambia, to Simon Mwansa Kapwepwe International Airport in the city of Ndola in Copperbelt Province.
Transport and Logistics Minister Frank Tayali said that the launch of the national airline was a step in the right direction as the country strives to become a hub of the aviation sector in the southern African region. He expressed optimism that the launch will help accelerate the development of other sectors such as the tourism industry.
The airline will operate five to six times a week to Ndola and the southern city of Livingstone. It will initially operate domestic routes before introducing regional destinations in South Africa and Zimbabwe in the first quarter of 2022.
