Arrendamientos aeronaves para finales de Noviembre 2023

La aerolínea de bajo costo de la India, SpiceJet, tendrá siete aviones Boeing 737 MAX más para fines de Noviembre 2022. India’s low-cost carrier SpiceJet will have seven more Boeing 737 MAX aircraft by the end of November 2022. The Indian carrier is getting these aircraft from Turkish carrier Corendon Airlines. The decision to lease these aircraft was made to replace aircraft recently written off following lease payment defaults. The planes are reported to come from Turkish carrier Corendon Airlines, with three MAXs due to arrive in late October 2022 and the rest in late November 2022.

SpiceJet currently faces a capacity cap imposed by India’s aviation regulator, the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA). The budget airline had 600 flights approved for daylight saving time, while the government has ordered it to operate only half of those daily flights, which would reduce its operational capacity.

The airline has been planning towards the inclusion of more modern aircraft to replace the 737 Next Generation line with the 737 MAX. The Government of India has approved a loan of around US$122 million under the modified Emergency Credit Line Guarantee Scheme (ECLGS), which would allow it to help settle all legal fees and landlord payments, such as as well as upgrading the fleet to the 737 MAX.
