Gobierno busca definir nueva aerolínea
El Presidente de México, Andrés Manuel López Obrador (AMLO), ha informado pocos adelantos para la presentación de la definición de una nueva aerolínea en México, gerenciada por la Secretaría de Defensa Nacional (SEDENA)con el objetivo de ofrecer vuelos más económicos y destinos donde otras aerolíneas no llegan.
El proyecto consiste en la operación de diez aeronaves por la empresa militar Olmeca-Maya-Mexica. Se estima que inicie sus operaciones a finales del 2023. En materia legislativa, se alista reformas legales en la Cámara de Diputados para que SEDENA pueda comenzar con sus planes. Mientras tanto, el diálogo continúa con los trabajadores de la extinta Mexicana de Aviación con el propósito de obtener la marca a cambio de una recompensa cuyo monto se fijará a partir de un avalúo.
En cuanto a los beneficios que traería esta nueva aerolínea, el mandatario federal adelantó el pasado 6 de Diciembre de 2022 que esto podría ayudar a reducir los altos costos de los pasajes aéreos de avión al incrementar el número de viajes al interior del país. “Entonces con la nueva línea, con el manejo de los aeropuertos en un plan integral, seguramente van a haber más viajes, va a bajar el precio del pasaje y, si hace falta, vamos a permitir lo que se llama el cabotaje, que las empresas extranjeras puedan llegar a Cancún, se les permita pasar a Campeche y a la Ciudad de México, o sea, liberar todo lo que tiene que ver con el transporte aéreo”, explicó el Primer Mandatario nacional. De igual manera, propuso retomar rutas abandonadas por las aerolíneas que sucumbieron a la bancarrota, como Interjet o que no han retomado las compañías aéreas actuales. “Hay muchos sitios en los que no se puede llegar por avión porque no son atendidos por las líneas actuales; además, ha habido una disminución, pues no sólo fue Mexicana, sino Interjet, y también se han reducido los vuelos de Aeromar. Hay ciudades en donde antes había vuelos y ahora ya no hay”, indicó AMLO a inicios de Octubre de 2022.
