A raíz de la solicitud de un certificado de servicio aéreo (transporte) de licencia y explotador de servicios aéreos en la primera mitad de 2013 por los propietarios de una nueva línea aérea propuesta, la intención de operar como Seychelles Airlines, ya han pasado casi tres años y los avances en esta solicitud tiene hasta la fecha no dado lugar a una conclusión del asunto.

Durante un tiempo en la corte, cuando el registro del nombre, aprobado inicialmente, fue luego anulada, lo que llevó a los propietarios de la empresa para buscar una directiva judicial de reintegrar el nombre, era ese caso prescindido en septiembre del año pasado, como informó aquí en el hora. El tribunal falló a favor de la demandante y ordenó al Registro de Sociedades para volver a registrar el nombre comercial, una decisión que el gobierno no presentó ningún recurso.

Sin embargo, nuevos avances en el proceso de aplicación sigue siendo lento y la SCAA enfrentó algunas críticas y acusaciones a las que el CEO de la organización Sr. Gilbert Faure respondido y, de hecho, puso de su lado de la historia a los medios locales.

Se entiende que la SCAA ha contratado los servicios de la Administración del Reino Unido de Aviación Civil sobre una base de consultoría para hacer frente a este caso y otros también debido a la necesidad de expertos internacionales añadido en la materia, similar a un proceso de Air Seychelles, la línea aérea nacional , también se sometió hace algún tiempo.

En febrero de este año hizo entonces una nueva reunión de propietarios en Seychelles | y representantes legales tienen lugar con la SCAA y de la aviación civil británica, durante el cual se solicitó el material según se informa añadido e información por los reguladores, posteriormente presentada el 27 de abril, justo días después de que el carnaval anual Internacional de Victoria había terminado.

Los esfuerzos a la hora de establecer los hechos y obtener las actualizaciones no eran posibles como punto de encuentro a corto plazo con la SCAA no podía ser arreglado antes de la salida de este corresponsal de Mahe de Praslin y La Digue y posterior vuelo de regreso a la parte continental africana.

Sin embargo, una actualización recibida de fuentes regulares en Victoria sugiere que la aplicación todavía no está completa en cuanto a documentación se refiere como información acerca de la aeronave específica para ser operado por la nueva aerolínea sigue desaparecido, aunque la mención del tipo B767-300 ha sido hecho, simplemente no la aeronave que debe ser adquirido a través de contrato de arrendamiento.

Esta saga no termina en el corto plazo, pero a medida que se tome una decisión emitida por la SCAA, asegúrese de leer aquí mismo. ᴀᴡ

 

 

Will New airline to Seychelles?

Following the application for an air service (transport) license and air operator certificate in the first half of 2013 by the owners of a proposed new airline, intent to trade as Seychelles Airlines, have now nearly three years passed and the progress on this application has to date not brought about a conclusion of the matter.

For a while in court, when the registration of the name, initially approved, was then rescinded, prompting the owners of the company to seek a court directive to reinstate the name, was that case dispensed with in September last year as reported here at the time. The court ruled in favour of the applicant and directed the Registrar of Companies to re-register the trade name, a decision which the government did not appeal.

However, further progress with the application process continued to be slow and the SCAA faced some criticism and allegations to which the organization’s CEO Mr. Gilbert Faure responded and in fact took his side of the story to the local media.

It is understood that the SCAA has retained the services of the UK Civil Aviation Authority on a consulting basis to deal with this case and others too due to the need for added international expertise on the matter, similar to a process Air Seychelles, the national airline, also underwent some time ago.

In February this year did then another meeting of Seychelles Airlines owners and legal representatives take place with the SCAA and the UKCAA during which reportedly added material and information was requested by the regulators, subsequently submitted on the 27th of April, just days after the annual Carnival International de Victoria had ended.

Efforts at the time to establish facts and obtain updates were not possible as a short term meeting with the SCAA could not be arranged prior to this correspondent’s departure from Mahe for Praslin and La Digue and subsequent flight back to the African mainland.

However, an update received from regular sources in Victoria suggests that the application is still not complete as far as documentation is concerned as information about the specific aircraft to be operated by the new airline remains missing, though mention of the B767-300 type has been made, just not the aircraft which is to be acquired through lease.
