El tercer mayor fabricante de aviones comerciales del mundo, anunció el lunes el primer vuelo de un avión de fuselaje estrecho de próxima generación programada para entrar en servicio en 2018.
El E190-E2 es el primer avión en línea E-Jet regional de Embraer con nuevos motores y alas destinadas a mejorar la eficiencia del combustible en al menos un 16 por ciento.
Embraer también se está expandiendo el tamaño y el alcance de su mayor avión comercial, el E195, cuya generación siguiente entra en servicio en 2019, lo que representa un desafío directo a la nueva Serie C producido por el rival Bombardier Inc. 
Brazil’s Embraer announces first flight of E190-E2
The world’s third-largest commercial planemaker, on Monday announced the first flight of a next-generation narrow-body jet slated to enter service in 2018.
The E190-E2 is the first aircraft in Embraer’s regional E-Jet lineup with new engines and wings aimed at improving fuel efficiency by at least 16 percent.
Embraer is also expanding the size and range of its largest commercial jet, the E195, whose next generation enters service in 2019, posing a direct challenge to the new C Series produced by rival Bombardier Inc. ᴀᴡ
