La aeronave conocida como Mitsubishi Regional Jet MRJ-90 ha retrasado en varias ocasiones sus planes de entrega debido a cambios en el diseño y en el proceso de fabricación de piezas.
El nuevo avión de pasajeros japonés MRJ-90 se vio obligado este fin de semana a cancelar dos vuelos de prueba consecutivos que tenía planeados con destino a EE.UU. debido a problemas técnicos, informa ‘The Japan Times’.

La aeronave debía partir el domingo desde la ciudad de Nagoya hacia territorio estadounidense. Sin embargo, tras una falla en el sistema de aire acondicionado identificada luego de su partida, el MRJ-90 tuvo que regresar al aeropuerto.
Algunas horas después, después de que la compañía anunciara que el problema había sido resuelto, el avión despegó nuevamente hacia la ciudad de Hokkaido, donde estaba planeada su primera parada antes de aterrizar en Washington, pero tras dos horas de recorrido el sistema de control de la aeronave detectó de nuevo inconvenientes en la gestión de aire a bordo que obligaron a cancelar el itinerario.
El MRJ-90, que realizó su primer vuelo de prueba en noviembre de 2015, está diseñado para vuelos cortos y de media distancia y cuenta con una capacidad de hasta 90 pasajeros. Infortunadamente, su desarrollo en los últimos siete años ha sufrido una serie de retrasos debido a cambios en el diseño y en el proceso de fabricación de sus piezas, entre otros, que han dificultado sus planes de entrega.
El avión comercial, desarrollado por la compañía Mitsubishi Aircraft Corp., una filial de Mitsubishi Heavy Industries que incluye a Toyota Corp. como accionista, es el primero de su clase fabricado en Japón en los últimos 50 años.
