No funcionará desde el 15 de febrero hasta el 2 de abril por arreglos en la pista, informó el Ministerio de Transporte de la Nación
El aeropuerto de la ciudad de Trelew, en Chubut, estará cerrado desde este miércoles 15 de febrero hasta el 2 de abril por obras en su pista, informó hoy el Ministerio de Transporte de la Nación.
Con una inversión de más de $183 millones, se construirá una nueva pista de aterrizaje y se ampliará la plataforma comercial, beneficiando a los 255.000 pasajeros que lo utilizan anualmente.
Transporte delineó un plan para atender el cierre en conjunto con todos los actores involucrados: gobiernos locales, las aerolíneas que allí operan, Aeropuertos Argentina 2000 y los organismos a cargo de la ejecución de las obras y de la regulación y operación de los aeropuertos.
Durante los 45 días que duren los trabajos los vuelos de Aerolíneas Argentinas y Austral serán reprogramados al Aeropuerto de Puerto Madryn, ubicado a 55 kilómetros de Trelew.
«La pista del aeropuerto de Trelew presenta un estado de deterioro y envejecimiento importante por eso es fundamental su renovación total», asegura la cartera de Transporte en un comunicado.
Adicionalmente, se ampliará la plataforma comercial, que permitirá la operación de aviones de mayor porte, agrega; y se instalará un nuevo sistema de balizamiento de alta intensidad y se realizarán trabajos de reparación en las calles de rodaje.
«Todo para incrementar la seguridad de las operaciones aéreas y renovar y modernizar el aeropuerto con el objetivo de potenciar el turismo en la provincia de Chubut», explicó Transporte.
El ministro Guillermo Dietrich explicó: “Empezamos a transformar el sector aerocomercial argentino para revertir la tendencia de estancamiento que tuvo en los últimos diez años, a partir de nuevas obras de infraestructura y nuevas medidas que apuntan a desarrollar el sector y a que cada vez más gente viaje en avión».
«Una de nuestras prioridades de gobierno es duplicar la cantidad de pasajeros en el mercado de cabotaje para mejorar la conectividad de nuestras provincias para fomentar el turismo y el desarrollo de las economías regionales”, completó.
En tanto, Patricio Di Stefano, presidente del Organismo Regulador del Sistema Nacional de Aeropuertos (ORSNA), consideró que “estas obras van a mejorar la seguridad en los vuelos y permitir la operación de aviones de mayor porte; Queremos que Chubut desarrolle todos sus recursos y potencial, y para eso la conectividad aérea resulta fundamental”.
Las obras forman parte del plan que comprende la modernización de 19 aeropuertos en todo el país, con una inversión de más de $18.000 millones en obras de infraestructura que beneficiarán a más de 30 millones de personas.
Además, se invertirán $1.814 millones en equipos de comunicación, navegación y vigilancia de última tecnología para mejorar la seguridad en despegues y aterrizajes. También se prevé una inversión de $1.700 millones para mejorar las obras de seguridad, como es la instalación de servicios de salvamento y de extinción de incendios. En total, se destinarán $22.200 millones durante los próximos tres años para todo el sector aéreo.
