Flybondi Líneas Aéreas iniciará sus operaciones en Enero 2018

Con la presentación pública del primer Boeing 737-800 en el Aeropuerto Jorge Newbery prolongando su presentación en el Aeropuerto de Córdoba en el día de mañana, 6 de Diciembre.

Flybondi, la primera aerolínea de bajo costo iniciará sus operaciones comerciales abriendo una nueva etapa en la aviación comercial de Argentina. En una presentación oficial que se realizó en el aeropuerto, Julian Cook confirmó que se comenzarán a vender los tickets para los primeros vuelos previstos para Enero de 2018. En principio habría dos frecuencias semanales. La primera ruta comercial de Flybondi será Córdoba-Bariloche.

La empresa Flybondi presentó el primer Boeing 737-800 en el Aeroparque de Buenos Aires con un nombre muy particular «Nelson», el nombre del perro de Julian Cook, CEO de Flybondi. El primer HUB de distribución, Aeropuerto de El Palomar, estará operativo para finales de Enero 2018 que proyecta volar la smayarías de las rutas en Argentina.

«Hace dos años que venimos trabajando para este momento. Es una startup argentina con 140 empleados con un capital de 75 millones de dólares», comunicó el CEO de Flybondi. La empresa se transforma así en la primera low cost o bajo costo en volar en la Argentina, tras la autorización de las rutas que pidió en una audiencia pública en Diciembre de 2016.

Inversores de Flybondi
Uno de los grandes inversores de la empresa es Michael Powell, ejecutivo de Wizz Air Holdings, y otros inversores de la Argentina, Europa y Asia, bajo el private equity Cartesian Capital Group. Powell es hoy CFO de Wizz Air, la cuarta low cost más grande de Europa.

Ruta Córdoba-Buenos Aires
En una entrevista desde el primer avión de Flybondi, Cook confirmó que los vuelos Córdoba-Buenos Aires saldrían $788 sin impuestos, y ofrecerán la posibilidad de pagar en cuotas. «Estamos analizando si en una primera etapa podemos pagar nosotros los impuestos que recaen en el consumidor final, para acceder a vuelos más económicos». Como la esencia de estos vuelos es que sean low cost, el despacho de equipaje y la comida no estarán incluidas en el precio final, pero se podrán ir sumando cuando se compra el ticket. Por ejemplo, despachar una valija de hasta 25 kilos en la bodega costará entre 150 y 250 pesos.

Flybondi sumará diez Boeing 737-800 que llegarán a lo largo de 2018 bajo el formato de leasing. Los nombres que llevaránlos nuevos aviones serán de mascotas, y para el segundo avión se abrirá un concurso al público para elegir el nombre.
