Air Niugini ha comenzado a mejorar su estrategia de conexiones en el Pacífico
La aerolínea ha comenzado a emerger como un centro que conecta Asia Oriental con Queensland en Australia y las Islas del Pacífico. Air Niugini persigue mercados donde las demás aerolíneas no atienden rutas en el Pacífico.
El Aeropuerto Internacional de Jacksons (POM/AYPY) también conocido como Aeropuerto de Port Moresby, se encuentra a 5 millas (8 kilómetros) fuera de Puerto Moresby, la capital de Papúa Nueva Guinea que es la base de operaciones de Air Niugini.
Air Niugini amplió su red en Australia y el Pacífico en el 2016. Ahora la aerolínea ha seleccionado a Shanghai como próximo destino y podría agregar varias ciudades de China continental en los próximos años como parte de una nueva estrategia para dirigir el tráfico entre China y Oceanía. También desea atender pequeños países insulares para establecer más conexión y mejorar la conectividad con Asia.
La aerolínea de Papúa Nueva Guinea se encuentra en proceso de renovación de flota para lo cual incorporará los Boeing 737-8 MAX ampliando la red de servicios en Oceanía.

Air Niugini has begun to improve its connection strategy in the Pacific
The airline has begun to emerge as a hub connecting East Asia with Queensland in Australia and the Pacific Islands. Air Niugini pursues markets where other airlines do not serve routes in the Pacific.
The Jacksons International Airport (POM / AYPY), also known as Port Moresby Airport, is 5 miles (8 km) outside Puerto Moresby, the capital of Papua New Guinea is Air Niugini’s base of operations.
Air Niugini expanded its network in Australia and the Pacific in 2016. The airline has now selected Shanghai as its next destination and could add several mainland cities in the coming years as part of a new strategy to steer traffic between China and Oceania. It also wants to serve small island countries to establish more connectivity and improve connectivity with Asia.
The airline of Papua Nueva Guinea is in process of renewal of fleet for which it will incorporate the Boeing 737-8 MAX expanding the network of services in Oceania. A\W
