La entrega marca el primer avión de ancho para una aerolínea china privada
Boeing entregó el primer Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner para Juneyao Airlines, con sede en Shanghai. El nuevo y súper eficiente Dreamliner también será el primer avión comercial de cabina ancha operado por una aerolínea china privada. El Dreamliner 787-9 de largo alcance permitirá al operador ampliar su red internacional. «Esta entrega es el mayor hito de nuestra aerolínea y representa un gran paso hacia la expansión de nuestra red en China y más allá. Juneyao Airlines, anteriormente un operador exclusivamente de Airbus, ofrece vuelos principalmente desde Shanghai a más de 50 ciudades de China . Al presentar el 787 Dreamliner de largo alcance, la aerolínea está buscando expandir su red internacional y aumentar los vuelos al sudeste asiático, Japón y Corea.
El Boeing 787-9 es parte de una familia de tres aviones que ofrecen distancias largas y una eficiencia de combustible inigualable en el mercado de 200 a 350 asientos. El 787-9 puede transportar 290 pasajeros y volar hasta 7,635 millas náuticas (14,140 km), al tiempo que reduce el uso de combustible y las emisiones en un 20-25% en comparación con aviones más antiguos. Los pasajeros apreciarán un vuelo más cómodo gracias a los grandes ventanales del Dreamliner, la menor altitud de la cabina, la tecnología de viaje suave y otras comodidades.

Para asegurar una introducción sin problemas del Dreamliner, Juneyao Airlines utilizará la capacitación piloto de los Servicios Globales de Boeing. La aerolínea también empleará una bolsa de vuelo electrónica en la cabina de vuelo para mejorar la eficiencia operativa. En otras aeronaves, Juneyao Airlines utiliza los servicios de gráficos y las soluciones de planificación de vuelo de Boeing.
El 787 Dreamliner es el avión de chorro ancho más vendido en la historia con casi 1.400 pedidos desde su lanzamiento. Boeing delivered the first Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner to Juneyao Airlines, based in Shanghai.
