Copa Airlines inicia ruta aérea Panamá-Paramaribo
Copa Airlines inicia de manera oficial operaciones de su nueva ruta Panamá-Paramaribo, aterrizando en la República de Surinam, siendo la única aerolínea que conectará a este destino con otros 80 destinos y 32 países en Norte, Centro y Sudamérica y el Caribe, a través de su hub en Ciudad de Panamá.
“El vuelo hacia la ciudad de Paramaribo representa un paso para continuar fortaleciendo nuestras operaciones en Latinoamérica. Conectar a este país por primera vez con el resto del continente promoverá mayores oportunidades de inversión para el desarrollo económico y turístico entre Surinam y los países donde opera Copa Airlines”, expresó Pedro Heilbron, Presidente Ejecutivo de Copa Airlines.
El vuelo CM318 de Copa Airlines operará inicialmente con dos frecuencias semanales los Miércoles/Sábados, saliendo a las 09:17 a.m. de Panamá (hora local) y llegando al Aeropuerto Internacional Johan Adolf Pengel a las 15:45 p.m. (hora local). El vuelo de regreso, el CM319, partirá los mismos días desde Paramaribo a la 17:52 p.m., llegando a Panamá a las 20:28 p.m. (hora local).
Surinam es considerado uno de los países más verde del mundo. El 93% de su territorio es selva rica en flora y fauna, lugar ideal para el desarrollo del ecoturismo. Este destino es reconocido por sus plantaciones de café, caña de azúcar y banano, que forman parte de una experiencia que integra distintas influencias gastronómicas y culturales de Indonesia, India, China, África y Europa. Por otro lado, cuenta con una arquitectura holandesa emblemática del siglo XVII, el cual fue declarado Patrimonio de la Humanidad por la Unesco en el 2002.
Copa Airlines opera actualmente un promedio de 350 vuelos diarios a través del hub de las Américas, el centro de conexiones con más vuelos internacionales en la región, ubicado en el Aeropuerto Internacional de Tocumen, en Ciudad de Panamá, y desde donde conecta a 81 ciudades de 33 países de Norte, Centro y Sudamérica y el Caribe.

The CM318 flight of Copa Airlines will operate initially with two weekly frequencies on Wednesdays / Saturdays, departing at 09:17 a.m. from Panama (local time) and arriving at Johan Adolf Pengel International Airport at 3:45 p.m. (local time). The return flight, CM319, will start on the same day from Paramaribo at 5:52 p.m., arriving in Panama at 8:28 p.m. (local time).
