El Aeropuerto de Manila reabre parcialmente después de que la

La erupción del volcán Taal se ha caracterizado por una continua actividad magmática e hidrovolcánica que generó columnas de vapor gris oscuro de 700 metros de altura que se desplazaron hacia el suroeste general.
Además de las fisuras previamente identificadas en Lemery (Sinisian, Mahabang Dahilig, Dayapan, Palanas, Sangalang, Poblacion, Mataas na Bayan), Agoncillo (Pansipit, Bilibinwang), Talisay (Poblacion 1, Poblacion 2, Poblacion 3, Poblacion 5) y San Nicolás (Población), se observaron nuevas fisuras en Sambal Ibaba, Lemery. La Red Sísmica de Filipinas trazó un total de quinientos veinte (520) terremotos volcánicos desde la 01:00 PM, 12 Enero 2020. Ciento sesenta y nueve (169) de estos se sintieron con intensidades que van desde la Intensidad I -V. Desde 05:00 A.M. a 4:00 P.M. de hoy, hubo cincuenta y tres (53) terremotos volcánicos planeados y doce (12) de los cuales se sintieron con intensidades que van desde la Intensidad I-III. Tal intensa actividad sísmica probablemente significa una intrusión magmática continua debajo del edificio Taal, lo que puede conducir a una mayor actividad eruptiva.
