ENAC sanciona cuatro low cost europeas por prácticas abusivas
El Ente Nacional para la Aviación Civil (ENAC) ha sancionado a la aerolínea irlandesa Ryanair y ha aniciado los procedimientos con otras tres compañías de low cost Easyjet, Wizzair y Volotea por prácticas abusivas con menores y discapacitados. No es la primera vez que estas aerolíneas tienen problemas por cobrar cargos adicionales fuera de la norma. En 2019, Ryanair enfrentó una fuerte polémica por cobrar para viajar con bebés menores de dos años.
El ENAC ha detectado que las empresas hacen pagar a los acompañantes para la asignación de asientos contiguos, cuando están obligadas a hacerlo. Esta semana el organismo anunció que iba a multar a Ryanair con € 35.000 Euros y este Viernes 20/08 explicó que comenzaba los procedimientos contra otras tres aerolíneas que operan en el país: Easyjet, Wizzair y Volotea. Las sanciones irían desde € 10.000 a 50.000 Euros cada una. El monto variará por el grado de incumplimiento de cada una. Según la información preliminar difundida por el ENAC, ninguna modificó sus sistemas informáticos y operativos para que los acompañantes no deban pagar un suplemento al coste del billete para la asignación de asientos próximos a menores y discapacitados que viajan con ellos. “En el momento de las reservas, siguen exigiendo un suplemento en el coste del billete” en estos casos, explicaron. La Justicia ya había ordenado que lo hicieran.
