Gobierno nacional compra terrenos y revela ubicación
El Gobierno de México ha anunciado la compra y ubicación de los terrenos donde se construirá un nuevo aeropuerto localizado en Tulum. El acuerdo de compra contempla 200 hectáreas del sector de Felipe Carrillo Puerto. “Ya se llegó a un acuerdo con los ejidatarios de Felipe Carrillo Puerto para la construcción del nuevo aeropuerto de Tulum. Aunque el aeropuerto es de Tulum, la verdad es que las tierras están en Felipe Carrillo Puerto, muy cerca de Tulum”, dijo el Presidente de México López Obrador.
La puesta en marcha del Aeropuerto Tulum está creando una empresa que controlará el nuevo aeropuerto y será administrada por el ejército, la cual operará la terminal de Tulum, la de Santa Lucía y el Tren Maya. El futuro del Aeropuerto de Tulum tendrá una nueva ciudad para militares, sin embargo, esta terminal será civil-militar, es decir, servirá también para el transporte de pasajeros, atendiendo la demanda de viajes en la Riviera Maya. El aeropuerto contempla la construcción de un edificio para la terminal de pasajeros, salas de abordaje, torre de control, estacionamiento y vialidades, además de la planeación urbana de una ciudad militar, edificios principales de soporte y para servicio del aeropuerto civil. Se prevé estará listo en un año.

The start-up of the Tulum Airport is creating a company that will control the new airport and will be administered by the army, which will operate the Tulum terminal, the Santa Lucia terminal and the Mayan Train. The future of the Tulum Airport will have a new city for the military, however, this terminal will be civil-military, that is, it will also serve for the transport of passengers, meeting the demand for travel in the Riviera Maya. The airport includes the construction of a building for the passenger terminal, boarding lounges, control tower, parking lot and roads, as well as urban planning for a military city, main support and service buildings for the civil airport. It is expected to be ready in a year.
