Delta confirma regreso Río—Atlanta/São Paulo—Nueva York

Delta Air Lines ya tiene una fecha para volver a operar las rutas Río de Janeiro (GIG)—Atlanta y São Paulo (GRU)—Nueva York (JFK). En Febrero de 2022, la aerolínea norteamericana agregará estas dos frecuencias a su red, que hoy tiene un solo vuelo desde el Aeropuerto de Guarulhos (SP) a Atlanta. Así, aún con una menor oferta, retoma las tres rutas operadas en el periodo pre-pandémico.

El Gerente General de Delta en Brasil, Rodrigo Sienra, ha comunicado concedió este Jueves 26/08 los restablecimientos de los vuelos hacia Sudamérica. Según el ejecutivo, la ruta Rio—Atlanta será operada tres veces por semana (3Frq/S) y São Paulo—Nueva York tendrá cinco vuelos semanales (5Frq/S). “Obviamente aún no podemos decir cuándo se convertirán en diarios, pero esa es la intención”, dijo Rodrigo Sienra, reiterando que el aumento de la oferta dependerá del comportamiento de la demanda. Ambos vuelos ya están disponibles para la venta. “Notamos una mejor ocupación e indicadores más satisfactorios. Pero tiene un gran cuello de botella a pesar de que son las fronteras. El mercado vio una mejora en marzo y abril, pero la gran mejora ocurrirá cuando se reabran las fronteras”, dijo Rodrigo Sienra.

Both flights are already available for sale. “We noticed better occupancy and more satisfactory indicators. But it has a big bottleneck even though it is the borders. The market saw an improvement in March and April, but the big improvement will occur when the borders are reopened”, said Rodrigo Sienra.
