Vuelo inaugural San Salvador—Ciudad México

Volaris Airlines El Salvador ha iniciado el vuelo inaugural San Salvador y la Ciudad de México este 15 de Septiembre de 2021. La nueva filial de Concesionaria Vuela Compañía de Aviación S.A. de C.V., posee su filial en Centroamérica donde busca posicionarse en la región. El primer vuelo comercial entre San Salvador y la Ciudad de México ha sido operado por un Airbus A320NEO con matrícula N544VL. La apertura de la programación de la filial El Salvador ha permitido iniciar vuelos a Cancún como parte de la programación inicial de rutas en la región. En los vuelos iniciales la compañía está ofreciendo tarifas promocionales.

«Estamos muy emocionados con el inicio de las operaciones de la nueva aerolínea nacional Volaris El Salvador, la primera de ultra bajo costo del país, así como con el primer vuelo de la nueva ruta. Los clientes, mayormente visitantes y de negocios en esta primera etapa, han respondido muy bien, con una demanda incremental, pero que muestra números muy positivos desde las primeras operaciones”, expresó el Director de Relaciones Institucionales para Centroamérica y Gerente General de Volaris El Salvador, Ronny Rodríguez Chan. El vuelo inaugural San Salvador—Ciudad México ha alcanzado gran expectativa e interés por parte de ambos países, mientras que la ruta a Cancún está focalizada en el destino turístico.

Grupo Volaris

Volaris Airlines de México posee dos filiales en la región de Centroamérica: Volaris El Salvador inició operaciones en 2015 y desde 2016 Volaris Costa Rica, que conectó inicialmente con Guatemala y otros destinos de la región. Actualmente, la operación como grupo en la región centroamericana posee rutas a México, Estados Unidos, Costa Rica, Guatemala y El Salvador, en donde ha transportado a casi dos millones de pasajeros desde 2015.

Perspectivas Volaris

Volaris avanza además en el desarrollo del Aeropuerto Internacional de El Salvador/San Oscar Romero como nuevo centro de conexiones. Continuará desarrollando más vuelos que se anunciarán próximamente hacia la región. La siguiente ruta San Salvador–San Pedro Sula se iniciará el 31 de Octubre de 2021.

La expansión de los servicios por parte de Volaris El Salvador y Volaris Costa Rica esperan establecer conexiones hacia Los Ángeles, Nueva York y Washington D.C. hacia el 4Q2021. El futuro del modelo ultra bajo de costo de Volaris Airlines permitirá estimular el mercado e incrementar el flujo de pasajeros y reactivar las economías en la región.

Volaris El Salvador starts ops to Mexico

Maiden flight San Salvador—Mexico City

Volaris Airlines El Salvador has started the inaugural flight between San Salvador and Mexico City this September 15, 2021. The new subsidiary of Concesionaria Vuela Compañía de Aviación S.A. de C.V., has its subsidiary in Central America where it seeks to position itself in the region. The first commercial flight between San Salvador and Mexico City has been operated by an Airbus A320NEO with registration N544VL. The opening of the schedule of the El Salvador subsidiary has allowed to start flights to Cancun as part of the initial schedule of routes in the region. On initial flights the company is offering promotional rates.

«We are very excited about the start of operations of the new national airline Volaris El Salvador, the first ultra-low-cost airline in the country, as well as the first flight of the new route. Customers, mostly visitors and business on this first stage, they have responded very well, with an incremental demand, but showing very positive numbers since the first operations”, said Ronny Rodríguez Chan, Director of Institutional Relations for Central America and General Manager of Volaris El Salvador. The inaugural San Salvador-Mexico City flight has met with great expectations and interest from both countries, while the route to Cancun is focused on the tourist destination.

Volaris Group

Volaris Airlines de México has two subsidiaries in the Central American region: Volaris El Salvador began operations in 2015 and since 2016 Volaris Costa Rica, which initially connected with Guatemala and other destinations in the region. Currently, the operation as a group in the Central American region has routes to Mexico, the United States, Costa Rica, Guatemala and El Salvador, where it has transported almost two million passengers since 2015.

Volaris perspectives

Volaris is also making progress in the development of the El Salvador/San Oscar Romero International Airport as a new connection center. It will continue to develop more flights to be announced soon to the region. The next San Salvador–San Pedro Sula route will begin on October 31, 2021.
