FAA implementará software para reducir retrasos en aeropuertos

La Administración Federal de Aviación (FAA) dijo el Martes 28/09 que planea implementar una nueva capacidad de software para reducir los tiempos de taxeo y la congestión de rampas para vuelos en veintisiete aeropuertos.

La FAA y la NASA dijeron que el nuevo software fue probado durante cuatro años que calcula los retrocesos de las puertas en los aeropuertos centrales ocupados para que cada avión pueda rodar directamente a la pista y despegar. Cuando se implemente, la FAA dijo que anticipa ahorrar anualmente más de 7 millones de galones de combustible y eliminar más de 75.000 toneladas de emisiones de CO2.

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) said Tuesday 09/28 that it plans to implement a new software capability to reduce taxi times and flight ramp congestion at twenty-seven airports.

The FAA and NASA said the new software was tested for four years that calculates gate setbacks at busy hub airports so that each plane can taxi directly to the runway and take off. When implemented, the FAA said it anticipates saving more than 7 million gallons of fuel annually and eliminating more than 75,000 tons of CO2 emissions.
