British Airways llama a pilotos y tripulantes para low cost
British Airways (BA), la aerolínea miembro del grupo IAG, anunció este fin de semana el inicio del proceso de selección de personal para su nueva compañía low-cost BA Euroflyer, que operará una flota de diecisiete aviones Airbus A320 para operaciones desde el Aeropuerto de Gatwick/LGW. Unos anuncios fueron insertados en los medios habituales para la selección de personal de aviación, ofreciendo hasta £ 105.000 Libras anuales para los pilotos y entre £ 24.000 y £ 27.800 Libras anuales para el personal de cabina. La nueva compañía de presupuesto busca gente con capacidad de liderazgo, de comunicación y de toma de decisiones. El anuncio expresa que “esta es una oportunidad inusual para entrar en una aerolínea desde su nacimiento, pero con los beneficios que supone la pertenencia a un grupo sólido como es British Airways”.
La selección de rutas de la compañía, con base en Gatwick/LGW, coincidirá sustancialmente con los destinos turísticos más habituales de las low-cost, como es el caso de Baleares, Alicante, Málaga, Canarias, Chipre, Malta, Sur de Francia en verano y en invierno algunos destinos de esquí.
La nueva aerolínea BA Euroflyer tendrá una estructura económica y contable separada pero operará con la marca y los estándares de calidad de British Airways. Euroflyer será sólo para los documentos, porque todo se hará bajo la bandera principal de la compañía.
Luis Gallego, el actual Presidente del grupo IAG, ha expresado que las operaciones de la nueva aerolínea podrían empezar en 1Q2022. Los especialistas aventuran que los primeros vuelos tengan lugar en la última semana de Marzo 2021, coincidiendo con el inicio de la temporada de verano boreal.

British Airways (BA), the IAG group member airline, announced this weekend the start of the recruitment process for its new low-cost company BA Euroflyer, which will operate a fleet of seventeen Airbus A320 aircraft for operations from the Airport from Gatwick/LGW. Announcements were inserted in the usual means for the selection of aviation personnel, offering up to £ 105,000 per year for pilots and between £ 24,000 and £ 27,800 per year for cabin personnel. The new budget company is looking for people with leadership, communication and decision-making skills. The announcement states that «this is an unusual opportunity to join an airline from its inception, but with the benefits of belonging to a solid group such as British Airways».
The company’s selection of routes, based in Gatwick/LGW, will substantially coincide with the most common low-cost tourist destinations, such as the Balearic Islands, Alicante, Malaga, Canary Islands, Cyprus, Malta, South of France in summer and in winter some ski destinations.
The new airline BA Euroflyer will have a separate economic and accounting structure but will operate under the British Airways brand and quality standards. Euroflyer will be only for documents, because everything will be done under the main banner of the company.
Luis Gallego, the current President of the IAG group, has stated that the operations of the new airline could begin in 1Q2022. Specialists venture that the first flights will take place in the last week of March 2021, coinciding with the start of the boreal summer season.
