Retorno operaciones 1ra. etapa modalidad charter

La aerolínea argentina Andes Líneas Aéreas había anunciado recientemente el retorno de las operaciones aerocomerciales con la incorporación de un Boeing 737-800 a su flota. La compañía anunció su decisión a través de las redes sociales el reinicio de la actividad aérea después de haber terminado un proceso de adecuación tras la difícil situación económica que atravesaba.

Andes inició sus operaciones en 2005 con dos aeronaves en la Provincia de Salta y con los que volaba a Buenos Aires a partir de un acuerdo con el Gobierno provincial, que le aseguraba la compra de una determinada cantidad de pasajes. Una década después, pidió nuevas rutas y se expandió hasta alcanzar en 2018 una participación de 7% del mercado total con diez aviones en operaciones a través de un proceso de leasing y con una plantilla de 450 trabajadores. En los últimos años de operaciones, los vuelos charters al Caribe y Brasil y los estudiantiles a Bariloche eran una parte importante de su esquema de negocios. En 2017, sumó aviones Boeing 737 Next Generation a los McDonell Douglas MD-80 que tenía en su flota, pero las dificultades económicas del país hicieron que las aeronaves retornasen a sus leassor en 2018. En Noviembre de 2019, suspendió sus operaciones porque el Gobierno de Chubut había acumulado una deuda que no le permitía seguir financiándose para hacer frente a los costos; intentó recomenzar en Diciembre de ese año, pero en Febrero de 2020, antes de la pandemia, directamente anunció que suspendía sus operaciones.

Tras superar los vaivenes económicos y más de dos años de crisis sanitaria, retornará en una nueva primera etapa a vuelos charter en Argentina y la región. “Durante la pandemia y hasta la fecha, hemos trabajado para poder conseguir la llegada de nuestro primer avión B-737-800. La compañía agradece a los representantes sindicales, a todo el personal, a la autoridad de aplicación (ANAC) y al sector aerocomercial nacional por el apoyo recibido», expresa el comunicado de la línea aérea salteña.
