Accionistas de International Airlines Group (IAG) aprueban orden

International Airlines Group (IAG) ha anunciado que sus accionistas aprobaron 27/10 un acuerdo con The Boeing Company para ordenar un total de cincuenta Boeing 737-8-200 MAX y Boeing 737-10 MAX (50), más 100 opciones negociables. Boeing e IAG anunciaron el acuerdo que estaba sujeto a la aprobación de los accionistas en Mayo de 2022. El pedido en firme de 50 Boeing 737 MAX se reflejará en el sitio web de pedidos y entregas de Boeing en Noviembre 2022.

«Acogemos con satisfacción la decisión de hoy de los accionistas de IAG de aprobar un pedido en firme de 50 737-8-200 y 737-10, con opciones para 100 más, y esperamos trabajar con IAG para reintroducir el 737 en las flotas del Grupo», dijo Ihssane Mounir, Vicepresidente Senior de Ventas Comerciales y Marketing de Boeing.

El modelo más grande de la familia, el Boeing 737-10 MAX tiene capacidad para 230 pasajeros en una configuración de clase única y puede volar hasta 3,300 millas. El avión de bajo consumo de combustible puede cubrir el 99% de las rutas de pasillo único, incluidas las rutas servidas por Boeing 757. El Boeing 737-8-200 permitirá a IAG configurar el avión con hasta 200 asientos, aumentando el potencial de ingresos y reduciendo el consumo de combustible.

Shareholders of International Airlines Group (IAG) approve order

International Airlines Group (IAG) has announced that its shareholders approved on 10/27 an agreement with The Boeing Company to order a total of fifty Boeing 737-8-200 MAX and Boeing 737-10 MAX (50), plus 100 tradable options. Boeing and IAG announced the deal which was subject to shareholder approval in May 2022. The firm order for 50 Boeing 737 MAXs will be reflected on Boeing’s order and delivery website in November 2022.

The largest model in the family, the Boeing 737-10 MAX seats 230 passengers in a single-class configuration and can fly up to 3,300 miles. The fuel-efficient aircraft can cover 99% of single-aisle routes, including routes served by the Boeing 757. The Boeing 737-8-200 will allow IAG to configure the aircraft with up to 200 seats, increasing revenue potential and reducing fuel consumption.

The Boeing 737 MAX incorporates the latest CFM International LEAP-1B engines, advanced technology winglets and other enhancements to deliver the highest efficiency, reliability and passenger comfort in the single-aisle market. The 737 family of aircraft is on average 14% more fuel efficient than the most efficient Next-Generation 737s today and 20% more efficient than the original Next-Generation 737s when they entered service.
