United arranca la temporada veraniega con tres nuevos vuelos, durante la época estival, a Europa desde sus centros de operaciones en la costa este de los EE.UU. A partir del 26 de mayo, United ofrece servicio diario sin escalas entre el aeropuerto Dulles de Washington y Barcelona, y entre Dulles y Lisboa. También se pone en marcha el nuevo servicio diario sin escalas entre Nueva York/Newark y Atenas, un hito que marca el tan esperado regreso de esta ruta al itinerario de verano de United.
Con más servicio internacional que cualquier otra línea aérea estadounidense desde Nueva York/Newark y el área metropolitana deWashington D.C., los tres nuevos vuelos trasatlánticos de United le ofrece al cliente más opciones al momento de planear sus escapadas estivales al Viejo Continente.

- United anunció que está incrementando su frecuencia entre San Francisco y Tel Aviv a servicio diario a partir de octubre. United empezó a volar a Tel Aviv en marzo y es la primera línea aérea estadounidense en atender Israel desde la costa oeste.
- Este mes, United Airlines se convirtió en la primera aerolínea en ofrecer servicio transpacífico entre San Francisco y Xi’an, China. United también es la primera línea aérea en atender Xi’an.
- A partir del 1 de junio, United pondrá en servicio el vuelo de itinerario más largo del mundo a bordo de 787, entre San Francisco y Singapur. Éste será el único servicio sin escalas a los E.U. desde Singapur.
- El 1º de julio, United arrancará un nuevo servicio con una frecuencia de tres vuelos semanales a Auckland, Nueva Zelanda, y ampliará su servicio diario en previsión de la temporada invernal.
- A partir del 13 de julio, por primera vez en la industria, United pondrá en operación el primer vuelo sin escalas operado por una aerolínea estadounidense entre Hangzhou, China y San Francisco.
Nueva York/Newark a Atenas
El servicio diario sin escalas de United entre el Aeropuerto Internacional Liberty de Newark (EWR) y Atenas (ATH) operará con aviones 767-300. Los tiempos de vuelo serán 9 horas 50 minutos hacia el este y 11 horas hacia el oeste.

Washington/Dulles a Lisboa
United utilizará aviones Boeing 757-200 para sus vuelos entre Washington Dulles y Lisboa (LIS). Los tiempos de vuelo serán 7 horas 25 minutos hacia el este y 8 horas 20 minutos hacia el oeste. United announced that it is increasing its frequency between San Francisco and Tel Aviv daily service from October. United started flying to Tel Aviv in March and is the first US airline to serve Israel from the West Coast.
This month, United Airlines became the first airline to offer transpacific service between San Francisco and Xi’an, China. United is also the first airline to serve Xi’an.
Beginning June 1, United will service the longest flight itinerary aboard the world 787 between San Francisco and Singapore. This will be the only nonstop service to E.U. from Singapore.
On July 1, United will start a new service with a frequency of three weekly flights to Auckland, New Zealand, and will expand its daily service in anticipation of the winter season.
As of July 13, for the first time in the industry, United put into operation the first nonstop flight operated by a US carrier between Hangzhou, China and San Francisco.
New York / Newark to Athens
The daily nonstop service between the United Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR) and Athens (ATH) 767-300 aircraft will operate. Flight times will be 9 hours 50 minutes east and 11 hours to the west.
