El proyecto, adjudicado al consorcio internacional del que forma parte DF (Duro Felguera) a través de su filial DF Núcleo, ha sido ejecutado en tiempo record de 14 meses y cuenta con la financiación del Fondo Árabe para el Desarrollo Económico y Social (FADES).
Los trabajos que abarcan la totalidad del proyecto, ocupan desde las fases de ingeniería, suministro, implementación y puesta a punto, hasta la formación y el mantenimiento y permitirán al Ministerio de Equipamientos y Transportes mauritano dotar al nuevo aeropuerto internacional de la capital del país de los más modernos sistemas de comunicación y control y situarse a la vanguardia en el continente africano.
