American Airlines tendrá 56 vuelos comerciales semanales desde Miami y JetBlue comenzará sus operaciones el 31 de agosto
La aerolínea estadounidense American Airlines informó hoy de que el Gobierno cubano les autorizó esta semana 56 vuelos comerciales semanales de Miami a cinco ciudades de la isla, los cuales comenzarán a partir del próximo 7 de septiembre.
Martha Pantin, portavoz de American Airlines, precisó que se trata de un vuelo diario a Cienfuegos y Camagüey, y dos al día a Holguín, Santa Clara y Varadero.
Sin embargo, JetBlue tiene previsto para el próximo 31 de agosto el vuelo inaugural a la isla, entre Fort Lauderdale y Santa Clara, tras más de cincuenta años de enemistad entre ambas naciones.
Será el primer vuelo comercial entre ambos países después de la normalización de las relaciones diplomáticas entre Cuba y EE.UU. que comenzó en diciembre de 2014 y se concretó en julio de 2015, cuando las secciones de intereses en Washington y La Habana comenzaron a funcionar como embajadas.

The US airline American Airlines announced today that the Cuban government authorized them this week 56 weekly commercial flights from Miami to five cities on the island, which will start from next September 7th.
