ROANOKE · American Airlines está ofreciendo el servicio de jet regional en el aeropuerto regional de Lynchburg, pero que aún no es el caso en Roanoke.
Brad Boettcher, director del aeropuerto de Roanoke de la comercialización y el desarrollo de servicios aéreos, dijo que el servicio no se ofrecerá allí en cualquier momento pronto, pero es una posibilidad años a partir de ahora.
Boettcher dijo Piedmont Airways, una rama hermana de American Airlines, tiene una base en ROA con una instalación de mantenimiento especializado en la fijación y volar los aviones más pequeños prop.

Boettcher dijo Delta aumenta vuelos y asientos en Roanoke Regional de este año y si continúan para ser llenado, aviones más grandes se les promete.

ROANOKE · American Airlines is offering regional jet service at Lynchburg Regional Airport, but that’s not the case yet in Roanoke.
Brad Boettcher, the Roanoke airport’s director of marketing and air service development, said the service won’t be offered there anytime soon, but is a possibility years from now.
Boettcher said Piedmont Airways, a sister branch of American Airlines, has a base at ROA with a maintenance facility specialized in fixing and flying the smaller prop planes.
After the first of the year, Piedmont closed crew bases in Charlottesville, Virginia and Newborn, North Carolina. Those 200 employees were moved to Roanoke.
“So, while we don’t have the jet service because we are a flight crew and maintenance base for Piedmont, there’s an added benefit to the Valley that we do have those flight and maintenance crews that are living and working here,” said Boettcher.
Boettcher said Delta increased flights and seats at Roanoke Regional this year and if they continue to be filled, larger planes are promised.
United will add another flight option to Washington Dulles International Airport next month. A\W
