“¿Qué es bolar con B larga?”, así se presenta esta empresa, quien ya está tramitando rutas nacionales para poder operar a bajo costo en el país.

Promovida por empresarios locales pero con financiamiento de grandes nombres de la industria aerocomercial del mundo, tomó forma Flybondi, la primera empresa de líneas aéreas de bajo costo en Argentina.

En su sitio web se preguntan ¿qué es bolar con b larga? y dan a conocer su respuesta para este proyecto en el país. «Es la oportunidad de que los argentinos volemos a muy bajo costo. Creemos que los argentinos merecemos la oportunidad de volar. La oportunidad de que cambiemos los mensajes, por abrazos de feliz cumpleaños. De que nuestro grupo de amigos vuelva a ser un grupo, a pesar de la distancia. De que los viajes de negocios traigan más viajes y más negocios. Y sobretodo la oportunidad de que exploremos y conozcamos nuestro país, uno de los más lindos del mundo», detallan en la descripción de la página.

La idea es que la empresa esté operable para el tercer trimestre de 2017. «Hoy sólo 1 de cada 10 argentinos vuela en avión. En 5 años queremos a la mitad de nuestro país con los piés en el aire», destacaron en el comunicado.

Detrás del proyecto, a nivel internacional figuran Michael Cawley, miembro del directorio y ex COO de Ryanair, Montie Brewer, ex CEO de Air Canada y el fundador y ex presidente de British Airways CityFlyer Express, Robert Wright, junto a un grupo de inversores argentinos.

Este grupo busca reunir una inversión de 75 millones de dólares previo a su lanzamiento en 2017. Se planea contar con una flota de 30 aviones en 5 años, tranportando 8 millones de pasajeros en vuelos domésticos y regionales.
