Tras adquirir Mc Air, la aerolínea de la familia Macri, Avianca anunció una inversión en Argentina de US$ 100 millones

Germán Efromovich, el principal accionista de la aerolínea Avianca Holdings, le anunció ayer al presidente Mauricio Macri que la empresa quiere invertir 100 millones de dólares para volar rutas dentro del país. Fue después de confirmar la adquisición, al padre del Presidente, de la aerolínea Mc Air.

“Vengo de contarle al presidente Macri que vamos a incorporar 18 aviones a Mc Air e invertir 100 millones de dólares en el lanzamiento de la compañía, que va a emplear entre 250 y 300 personas. Todas cosas que a un Presidente le gusta escuchar”, dijo Efromovich en una improvisada conferencia de prensa en su habitación en el séptimo piso del hotel Hilton, donde ayer se desarrollaba un encuentro de la Asociación Internacional de Líneas Aéreas (IATA). “Si todo se desarrolla en los tiempos previstos, para el 1 de diciembre comenzaríamos a volar tanto desde Aeroparque como desde el aeropuerto de Córdoba, con un pequeño centro de distribución en el aeropuerto de Ezeiza”, agregó.

Efromovich no dio detalles de las rutas que quiere volar. De hecho, para obtener la autorización, la Administración Nacional de Aviación Civil debe convocar a una audiencia pública para escuchar los reclamos de todas las aerolíneas que requieran autorización: fuentes del ministerio de Transportes señalaron que hay cerca de media docena de operadores que esperan ese llamado, que sería el primero en 11 años. La última vez que se hizo una audiencia pública fue hace 11 años.

“Venimos a competir, pero no vamos a ser una competencia predatoria”, aseguró el empresario. Dijo que incorporarán 18 aeronaves turbohélice, para 72 pasajeros que, de hecho, no representarían una competencia directa para Aerolíneas o Lan, que sólo vuelan aviones tipo jet. “Si alguna de esas compañías nos quieren como su “alimentadora” de pasajeros, estamos dispuestos.
