La aerolínea noruega Norwegian Air está creciendo vertiginosamente su flota de aviones

Mr. Tucker was questioned about the airline’s growth strategy at the annual convention of the ABTA commercial travel organization in the Azores, Portugal. When asked if Norwegian is growing too fast, he replied, «If I’m honest, we’re probably on the cusp. It’s really difficult as an airline when we have a lot of planes because we want to get the planes up and running as soon as possible.»

Mr. Tucker accepted that the delivery of 19 new planes this year was «a crazy number we are driving to juggle.» He said the airline was having to make a puzzle for where to fly because it lacked historical data from longtime rivals. After 140 pilots were said to have moved from Ryanair to Norwegian Air, Mr. O’Leary wrote to his remaining flight crew last week, urging them not to join airlines that were «less financially secure» and «challenged by Brexit». Mr Tucker stated that there was no «real basis for his comments», insisting that Norwegian Air was «less challenged by Brexit than they. From a financial point of view, since 140 of its pilots came to us, I would say that we have had 10 years of profitability as an airline.
