American Airlines iniciará ruta Nueva York-Georgetown, en Guyana

American Airlines comenzará sus operaciones en su nueva ruta Nueva York-Georgetown en 2020. Los nuevos vuelos sin escalas operarán con una frecuencia diaria (1Frq/D) entre el Aeropuerto Internacional John F. Kennedy de Nueva York y el Aeropuerto Internacional Cheddi Jagan de Georgetown, Repúblicva de Guyana.

La nueva ruta proyecta conectar la demanda de la diáspora guyanesa que vive en el noreste de Estados Unidos, pero al mismo tiempo impulsar el floreciente sector turístico de Guyana que ha tenido un excelente año 2019 en término turístico. El lanzamiento en Nueva York se produce un año después de que American Airlines lanzara su servicio inaugural desde Miami a Georgetown. Guyana, ubicada en el extremo norte de América del Sur, es la sede de CARICOM, la Comunidad del Caribe.

American Airlines will start New York-Georgetown route in Guyana

American Airlines will begin operations on its new New York-Georgetown route in 2020. The new nonstop flights will operate on a daily basis (1Frq / D) between John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York and Cheddi Jagan International Airport in Georgetown, Republic of Guyana.

The new route plans to connect the demand of the Guyanese diaspora that lives in the northeastern United States, but at the same time boost the burgeoning tourist sector of Guyana that has had an excellent 2019 year in terms of tourism. The launch in New York comes a year after American Airlines launched its inaugural service from Miami to Georgetown. Guyana, located in the far north of South America, is the headquarters of CARICOM, the Caribbean Community.

Guyana, a country on the North Atlantic coast of South America, is defined by its dense rainforest. English-speaking, with cricket and calypso music, it is culturally connected to the Caribbean region. Its capital, Georgetown, is known for British colonial architecture, including St. George’s Anglican Cathedral, painted and tall wood.
