American Airlines y Royal Air Maroc lanzan código compartido

American Airlines y Royal Air Maroc están formalizando su nueva asociación de código compartido antes de la primera incursión de la aerolínea estadounidense en África. Los operadores comenzarán a compartir códigos en ciertas rutas en las redes de cada uno a patir del 26 Diciembre 2019.

Las rutas cubiertas incluyen por parte de Royal Air Maroc’s desde Casablanca (CNM), Marrakech (RAK) en Marruecos, y rutas estadounidenses seleccionadas en los Estados Unidos. American Airlines and Royal Air Maroc launch codeshare

American Airlines and Royal Air Maroc are formalizing their new codeshare partnership before the first incursion of the US airline in Africa. Operators will begin to share codes on certain routes in each other’s networks from December 26, 2019.

Covered routes include Royal Air Maroc’s from Casablanca (CNM), Marrakech (RAK) in Morocco, and selected US routes in the United States. The codeshare will be extended to additional routes in 2020, including Royal Air Maroc service to Abidjan, Ivory Coast (ABJ), Lagos (LOS), Nigeria and Luanda (LAD), Angola. American Airlines will begin flights between Philadelphia (PHL) and Casablanca (CNM), inaugurating the first flight to the African continent from June 2020.

The Moroccan airline Royal Air Maroc is planning to enter Oneworld together with American Airlines in 2020, so it would become the first airline in Africa to enter this alliance.
