Boeing ha retrasado el primer vuelo de su avión 777-9 debido a condiciones climáticas
El Miércoles 22 Enero 2020 The Boeing Company había informado realizar para este Juevces 23/01 el vuelo inaugural del Boeing 777-9X. El nuevo avión de fuselaje ancho de la compañía americana debía volar a las 10 a.m. hora local (1 p.m. ET) este Jueves 23/01 en las instalaciones de la línea de ensamblaje de Boeing cerca de Everett, Washington.
El avión de pasajeros bimotor más grande del mundo estaba destinado a volar por primera vez. Con motores más grandes, el 777X será el avión comercial bimotor más grande con más de 400 pasajeros. El Programa 777X se ha visto obstaculizado por retrasos en varias ocasiones. Las entregas del 777X ya han sido pospuestas desde el verano de 2020 hasta 2021 por Boeing debido a problemas con los enormes motores GE9X, y más recientemente con la puerta de carga.

The new wide-body aircraft of the American company had to fly at 10 a.m. Local time (1 p.m. ET) on Thursday 23/01 at the Boeing assembly line facilities near Everett, Washington.
The world’s largest twin-engine passenger plane was destined to fly for the first time. With larger engines, the 777X will be the largest twin-engine commercial aircraft with more than 400 passengers. The 777X Program has been hampered by delays on several occasions. Deliveries of the 777X have already been postponed from the summer of 2020 to 2021 by Boeing due to problems with the huge GE9X engines, and more recently with the cargo door.

The Boeing 777X is obsessed with positioning itself as the market’s favorite aircraft, displacing the production of four-engine aircraft worldwide, including the Boeing 747 passenger variant and the superjumbo Airbus A380. The 777X is the next-generation variant of the successful 777 Program that was initially developed in the 1990s and operates with airlines around the world, often cited as one of the safest long-distance passenger aircraft ever built. The most distinctive feature of the 777X is the tips of the folding wings of the aircraft that allow greater fuel efficiency during the flight while retracting upwards on the airport platforms to allow the aircraft to maneuver without runway limitations, taxiways and parking required.

Boeing will now schedule the huge plane to possibly take off tomorrow, January 24, 2020, depending on weather conditions. The bad weather delayed the flight that was originally scheduled to fly today 23/01.
