JetSmart Airlines inaugura Santiago—Montevideo
La aerolínea de bajo costo JetSmart Airlines confirmó este Martes 26/10 el inicio de operaciones en la República Oriental del Uruguay. Por medio de un comunicado indicó que cubrirá la ruta Santiago de Chile/SCL—Montevideo/MVD, a partir del 18 de Enero de 2022, con precios de lanzamiento desde US$20 más tasas por tramo y con tres frecuencias semanales (3Frq/S) Martes, Jueves y Domingo, permitiendo acceder al sexto país en el desarrollo de sus cinco años de actividad aérea. “Esperamos que nuestra nueva ruta Santiago—Montevideo apoye la conectividad regional, tan disminuida en la pandemia, y conecte a más viajeros en Latinoamérica”, señaló Estuardo Ortiz, CEO de JetSMART.
Tras el anuncio, la compañía se posiciona como la única low cost que operará la ruta Santiago—Montevideo. “Vemos una oportunidad de ofrecer más rutas internacionales a todos nuestros clientes en Chile y abriendo un nuevo mercado y mejorando la conectividad en Uruguay”, agregó Estuardo Ortiz. La nueva ruta asignada se encuentra actualmente a la venta accediendo al as promociones de la aerolínea de presupuesto. La aerolínea chilena de bajo costo JetSmart comenzará a operar en Uruguay el 18 de Enero de 2022 con tres frecuencias semanales, según anunció este martes el Gerente Comercial, Darío Ratinoff. En un evento celebrado en el Aeropuerto Internacional de Carrasco, en las afueras de Montevideo, el representante de la compañía confirmó que JetSmart volará martes, jueves y domingo entre Santiago de Chile y Montevideo por un precio mínimo en torno a los US$ 118 Dólares, que puede subir en función del equipaje contratado. El nuevo destino crea la oportunidad de reactivar el turismo regional y de dar a conocer lugares de interés y playas en Uruguay, buscan continuar su expansión en la región, con el objetivo de llegar a 100 aviones y 100 millones de pasajeros.
Actualmente, JetSmart posee una red de destinos nacionales e internacionales, con 38 rutas domésticas a quince destinos en las ciudades de Santiago, Arica, Iquique, Antofagasta, Calama, Copiapó, La Serena, Concepción, Temuco, Valdivia, Puerto Montt, Chiloé, Balmaceda, Punta Arenas y Puerto Natales. Los destinos internacionales sdesarrolla opera desde Santiago a Bogotá y Cali en Colombia; hacia Lima, Trujillo y Arequipa en Perú; y a Buenos Aires en Argentina. Además, hace poco reactivó la ruta Santiago—Foz de Iguazú en Brasil y Antofagasta—Cali.
