Aerolíneas incorpora A330-200 ex-TAP Air Portugal
Aerolíneas Argentinas ha anunciado el arribo a Argentina de dos aviones Airbus A330-200 (2) que se incorporan a la compañía como parte de la actualización de la flota. Las aeronaves han recibido la matrícula argentina LV-KAN y LV-KAO que se unen a la flota de A330 de la aerolínea. Las aeronaves A330-200 pertenecieron a la aerolínea TAP Air Portugal y arribarán la próxima semana, comenzando la apertura de las operaciones a mitad de Diciembre de 2021 según la planificación y programación de la compañía aérea.
Actualmente, ambas aeronaves se encuentran actualmente realizando trabajos de mantenimiento y reacondicionamiento interno en los Talleres de San Bernardino, California (CA). Los trabajos incluyen pintura y acondicionamiento del interior de cabina: cambios en el tapizado de asientos, alfombras, entre otros. La actualización de software para entretenimiento a bordo y la incorporación de iluminación Mood Lighting, son mejoras que alcanzan a la actualización de ambas aeronaves.

Las aeronaves que incorporará Aerolíneas contarán con planta motriz General Electric y una configuración de cabina 25 Ejecutive y 244 Economy, similares al resto de la flota A330-200 (8). Los nuevos aviones A330-200 de Aerolíneas Argentinas incorporarán certificación ETOPS (Extended Range Twin Engine Operation Performance Standards) que los habilita a realizar operaciones de largo alcance. “Este es un modelo de avión que se adapta perfectamente a las necesidades de la empresa desde el punto de vista técnico y operativo, que posee una alta eficiencia y una versatilidad que nos permite volar tanto las rutas internacionales como rutas domésticas en periodos de alta demanda”, expresó el CEO Pablo Ceriani.
Ambas aeronaves suplirán el reemplazo de los A330 LV-FNI y LV-FNL, con una antigüedad de más de veinte años. Los A330-200 LV-KAN y LV-KAO fueron fabricados en 2007 y 2008 respectivamente, lo que representan una modernización de la flota widebodies de Aerolíneas Argentinas en las rutas de largo recorrido.

Aerolíneas Argentinas has announced the arrival in Argentina of two Airbus A330-200 aircraft (2) that will join the company as part of the fleet update. The aircraft have received the Argentine registration LV-KAN and LV-KAO which join the airline’s fleet of A330s. The A330-200 aircraft belonged to the airline TAP Air Portugal and will arrive next week, beginning the opening of operations in mid-December 2021 according to the planning and programming of the airline.
Currently, both aircraft are currently performing internal maintenance and overhaul work at the San Bernardino, California (CA) Workshops. The works include painting and conditioning of the interior of the cabin: changes in the upholstery of seats, carpets, among others. The software update for inflight entertainment and the incorporation of Mood Lighting are improvements that reach the update of both aircraft.
A330 Features
The aircraft that Aerolíneas will incorporate will have a General Electric power plant and a 25 Executive and 244 Economy cabin configuration, similar to the rest of the A330-200 fleet (8). The new Aerolíneas Argentinas A330-200 aircraft will incorporate ETOPS (Extended Range Twin Engine Operation Performance Standards) certification that enables them to carry out long-range operations. “This is an airplane model that is perfectly adapted to the needs of the company from a technical and operational point of view, which has high efficiency and versatility that allows us to fly both international routes and domestic routes in periods of high demand”, Expressed CEO Pablo Ceriani.
Both aircraft will replace the A330 LV-FNI and LV-FNL, which are over twenty years old. The A330-200 LV-KAN and LV-KAO were manufactured in 2007 and 2008 respectively, which represent a modernization of the widebodies fleet of Aerolineas Argentinas on long-haul routes.
