Aerolínea low cost argentina inaugurará Buenos Aires—Montevideo

La aerolínea argentina de bajo costo Flybondi Líneas Aéreas incorporará su próxima ruta con vuelos directos entre Buenos Aires/AEP y Montevideo/MVD, según anunció el Ministro de Turismo uruguayo, Tabaré Viera, mientras participaba de la Feria Internacional de Turismo de América Latina FIT 2022. “Flybondi efectuará vuelos directos entre el Aeroparque Jorge Newbery y el Aeropuerto Internacional de Carrasco, con el inicio de estas operaciones, Uruguay continúa el aumento de su conectividad con la región”, según publicó el Gobierno uruguayo en un comunicado oficial.

Tras el anuncio del Gobierno de Uruguay de la nueva ruta asignada a Montevideo, Flybondi incorpora su segunda conexión regional uruguaya, después de Punta del Este. Actualmente desarrolla otros destinos a Brasil y uno a Asunción del Paraguay.

Uruguay promueve conectividad

«A raíz de este acuerdo para generar nuevas frecuencias aéreas, Uruguay continúa en el proceso de recuperación de la conectividad con la región, tras la emergencia sanitaria”, indicó el parte de prensa. También adelantaron que buscarán ampliar las frecuencias entre Santiago y Montevideo con la empresa chilena JetSMART, en los próximos días.

La noticia de una nueva ruta aérea entre ambos países con una empresa de vuelos económicos ocurre en un momento que Argentina pasa un proceso de recuperación en el sector turístico tras la crisis sanitaria. De acuerdo con un informe publicado por el Consejo Mundial de Viajes y Turismo (WTTC), Argentina tendrá un crecimiento anual del 3,5 % y durante los próximos diez años generará cerca de 530.000 nuevos puestos de trabajo. También se estimó que para el segundo semestre de 2022, el país registrará un crecimiento de más de 460% en el número de turistas, con respecto al mismo periodo del año anterior.
