Johannesburgo, Sudáfrica · Problemas SAA línea aérea nacional ha sufrido pérdidas de hasta R4.7 mil millones en el pasado ejercicio. SAA confirma en sus resultados preliminares que se encontraba en una profunda crisis financiera tras reportar las pérdidas en el ejercicio 2014/15.
Los resultados muestran el entorno competitivo y moneda en declive han conducido a una pérdida de R1.5bn, que es más alto que el R374 millones de pérdida en el ejercicio anterior.
La aerolínea dijo que las fluctuaciones de la moneda, las deficiencias, los gastos financieros y otros factores llevaron a la pérdida total de R4.7bn. AEA dijo gastos financieros se dispararon de R263m a R490m.
Los resultados preliminares de SAA fueron presentadas oficialmente a ser hoy en el Parlamento después de que el Parlamento aprobó la línea aérea nacional una prórroga para la presentación de su informe anual para el ejercicio 2014/15 a petición del Ministro de Hacienda Pravin Gordhan.
Los resultados fueron originalmente previsto para septiembre del año pasado. En los últimos 15 años solos, SAA tiene R14bn costado a los contribuyentes. Gordhan confirmó a principios de esta semana que SAA había registrado pérdidas de R4.7bn para el ejercicio 2014/15. La compañía aérea nacional ha venido solicitando una garantía de préstamo R5bn del Tesoro.
La liberación de los últimos resultados terminará la disputa sobre la garantía de que el gabinete aprobó la semana pasada el nombramiento de la nueva junta directiva que estará encabezada por el controvertido presidenta Dudu Myeni.
El martes los partidos de oposición lanzaron un ataque mordaz contra SAA durante un debate llamado por el FEP inmediatamente después de la sesión de preguntas y respuestas con el presidente Jacob Zuma en la Asamblea Nacional.
El FEP, DA y otros partidos de oposición acusaron al presidente y el ANC de funcionamiento de la línea aérea en el suelo. También se espera que la publicación de los resultados de convertirse en otra pelea amarga entre el ANC y la oposición en la Asamblea Nacional. La AEA se presentará ante las comisiones del Parlamento en los próximos días.
Duro golpe
Los resultados muestran que la contribución de beneficio nacional se redujo en un 17 por ciento de R791m a R660m.
Sin embargo, SAA tomó nota de las rutas africanas, que habían sido sano, también sufrió un golpe de una ganancia de R761m a R551m en el ejercicio anterior.
Se atribuyó el 28 por ciento de disminución de nuevas compañías aéreas de bajo coste que entran en el espacio y el virus del Ébola que había golpeado a la región en los últimos dos años. Gulf Airlines y el este de África plantean una grave amenaza para el negocio de SAA.
A pesar de tener costes operativos bajo control, AEA dijo que el debilitamiento de la moneda había tenido una relación seria en sus estados financieros. 
SAA admits deep financial crisis
Johannesburg, South Africa · Troubled national airline SAA has suffered losses of up to R4.7 billion in the past financial year. SAA confirmed in its preliminary results that it was in deep financial crisis after it posted the losses in the 2014/15 financial year.
The results show the competitive environment and declining currency have led to a loss of R1.5bn, which is higher than the R374 million loss in the previous financial year.
The airline said the currency fluctuations, impairments, finance costs and other factors led to the total loss of R4.7bn. SAA said finance costs shot up from R263m to R490m.
SAA’s preliminary results were to be officially tabled in Parliament today after Parliament granted the national airline an extension for the tabling of its annual report for the 2014/15 financial year at the request of Finance Minister Pravin Gordhan.
The results were originally due in September last year. In the past 15 years alone, SAA has cost taxpayers R14bn. Gordhan confirmed early this week that SAA had posted losses of R4.7bn for the 2014/15 financial year. The national carrier has been requesting a R5bn loan guarantee from the Treasury.
The release of the latest results will end the stand-off on the guarantee as cabinet last week approved the appointment of the new board to be headed by controversial chairwoman Dudu Myeni.
On Tuesday opposition parties launched a scathing attack on SAA during a debate called by the EFF immediately after the question and answer session with President Jacob Zuma in the National Assembly.
The EFF, DA and other opposition parties accused the president and the ANC of running the airline into the ground.
The release of the results is also expected to become another bitter fight between the ANC and the opposition in the National Assembly. It is expected that SAA will appear before the committees of Parliament in the coming days.
Serious blow
The results show that domestic profit contribution declined by 17 percent from R791m to R660m. However, SAA noted the African routes, which had been healthy, also took a knock from a profit of R761m to R551m in the previous financial year.
It attributed the 28 percent decline to new low cost carriers entering the space and the Ebola virus that had hit the region in the past two years. Gulf Airlines and East Africa posed a serious threat to the SAA business.
Despite having operating costs under control, SAA said the weakening currency had had a serious bearing on its financials. A\W
