Hong Kong Airlines ha recibido el primer A350-900, convirtiéndose en la 15ª aerolínea en todo el mundo en operar el nuevo modelo de aviones de doble pasillo, confirmó Airbus China el sábado.
Hong Kong Airlines adquirirá 21 Airbus A350 XWB, incluyendo 15 adquiridos directamente a Airbus y seis en arrendamiento de terceros, dijo Airbus China. Hong Kong Airlines ha configurado el A350-900 con un diseño de tres clases. Tiene un total de 334 escaños, compuesto por 33 en clase de negocios, 108 en economía premium y 193 en clase económica.
Después de volar inicialmente a rutas regionales, el A350-900 de Hong Kong Airlines iniciará operaciones de largo recorrido en diciembre de 2017, comenzando con el servicio directo de la aerolínea a Los Ángeles.

El A350 XWB cuenta con el último diseño aerodinámico, fuselaje de fibra de carbono y alas, además de nuevos motores Rolls-Royce eficientes en combustible, que ofrecen el modelo con eficiencia operativa, de acuerdo con Airbus. Hasta la fecha, Airbus ha registrado un total de 848 pedidos firmes para el A350 XWB de 45 clientes en todo el mundo. Con 287 pedidos firmes para el A350 de las aerolíneas de Asia y el Pacífico, la región representa más de un tercio de las ventas totales de la aeronave hasta la fecha.
De acuerdo con el pronóstico de Airbus Global Market 2017-2036, el número de aviones de pasajeros con más de 100 asientos aumentará a 40.000 aviones en los próximos 20 años, con Asia Pacífico identificado como el principal “motor”. 
Hong Kong Airlines receives delivery of A350
Hong Kong Airlines has received the first A350-900, becoming the 15th airline in the world to operate the new model of dual-aisle aircraft, Airbus China confirmed on Saturday.
Hong Kong Airlines will acquire 21 Airbus A350 XWB, including 15 acquired directly from Airbus and six from third party leasing, Airbus China said. Hong Kong Airlines has configured the A350-900 with a three-class design. It has a total of 334 seats, comprising 33 in business class, 108 in premium economy and 193 in economy class.
After initially flying to regional routes, the Hong Kong Airline’s A350-900 will begin long-haul operations in December 2017, starting with the airline’s direct service to Los Angeles.

The A350 XWB features the latest aerodynamic design, carbon fiber fuselage and wings, plus new fuel efficient Rolls-Royce engines, which offer the model with operational efficiency, according to Airbus. To date, Airbus has registered a total of 848 firm orders for the A350 XWB from 45 customers worldwide. With 287 firm orders for the A350 from Asia Pacific airlines, the region accounts for more than a third of total aircraft sales to date.
According to the forecast of Airbus Global Market 2017-2036, the number of passenger aircraft with more than 100 seats will increase to 40,000 aircraft in the next 20 years, with Asia Pacific identified as the main “engine”. A \ W
