Volotea Airlines iniciará 53 nuevas rutas aéreas para 2020
Volotea Airlines lanzará 53 nuevas rutas a partir del 2020 de un total de 346 rutas y 90 destinos servidos, abriendo en agenda para el próximo año con más de medio centenar de rutas adicionales. Entre los nuevos destinos abre nuevas bases en Nápoles, Lyon y Hamburgo.
Volotea operará más de 62.000 vuelos en 2020. La aerolínea ha crecido año tras año en pasajeros y operaciones. En Julio 2019, la aerolínea celebró sus 25 millones de pasajeros y en los próximos meses, Volotea celebrará sus 30 millones desde que se iniciaron las operaciones en 2012. En 2019 espera transportar alrededor de 7,7 millones de pasajeros.
La programación para el 2020 53 rutas nuevas adicionales ya están disponibles para la venta de Volotea para aumentar su red a 346 rutas, de las cuales 198 son exclusivas, conectando con vuelos directos a 90 aeropuertos. Esto incluye operaciones en ocho nuevos aeropuertos y primeros vuelos a Bulgaria. En total, Volotea sirve en 14 países diferentes. Actualmente Volotea opera 125 rutas exclusivas en Italia, 76 en Francia, 51 en España y 56 en Grecia.
Volotea figura entre las primeras aeerolíneas con el mayor número de destinos en casi todas sus bases. En Palermo, Verona, Nantes, Estrasburgo y Génova es la primera aerolínea en número de destinos, y en Venecia, Burdeos, Toulouse, Marsella, Bilbao, Asturias y Cagliari es la segunda. En general, es la segunda aerolínea más grande de Francia y la tercera en Italia en número de rutas nacionales.
Volotea continuará aumentando sus operaciones el próximo año, esperando transportar entre 8,5 millones y 9,0 millones de pasajeros en 2020. Para estos fines, se agregarán cinco aviones Airbus A319 , aumentando su flota hasta 38 unidades. Además, se ha anunciado que Nápoles, Lyon y Hamburgo se convertirán en nuevas bases de Volotea y se crearán nuevos empleos locales. Los Airbus A319 estarán ubicados en estos aeropuertos para impulsar las operaciones y ofrecer asientos adicionales y nuevos destinos.
Las nuevas bases están ubicadas en dos mercados principales de Volotea, Italia y Francia. La base en Hamburgo representa la primera en Alemania y se ha abierto para prestar servicio al servicio de traslado de Airbus que Volotea operará durante los próximos cinco años. In addition, it has been announced that Naples, Lyon, and Hamburg will become new Volotea bases and new local jobs will be created. The Airbus A319 will be located at these airports to boost operations and offer additional seats and new destinations.
The new bases are located in two main markets of Volotea, Italy, and France. The base in Hamburg represents the first in Germany and has been opened to serve the Airbus transfer service that Volotea will operate for the next five years. The flights began on November 4 and connect two of the main Airbus sites in Toulouse and Hamburg.
