Monte Senabung se activa en Indonesia
El volcán del Monte Sinabung de Indonesia ha entrado nuevamente en actividad al enviar una nube de ceniza caliente de hasta 5 km (3,1 millas) el Martes 02/01, en su primera gran erupción desde Agosto 2020, dijo el centro vulcanógeno del país Magma Indonesia. La actividad del Monte Sinabung ha aumentado desde el año pasado y la alerta para el volcán en la Provincia Sumatra se ha colocado en el segundo nivel más alto. El Monte Sinabung había estado inactivo durante siglos antes de que estallara de nuevo en 2010.

Aktivitas Gunung Sinabung telah meningkat sejak tahun lalu dan waspada terhadap gunung berapi di Provinsi Sumatera ditempatkan di peringkat kedua tertinggi. Gunung Sinabung sempat tertidur selama berabad-abad sebelum meletus kembali pada tahun 2010.
Aktivasi gunung berapi telah melaporkan tidak ada korban, tetapi seorang pejabat sebelumnya telah mendesak orang untuk tinggal setidaknya 3 km dari kawah, kata Pusat Vulkanologi dan Mitigasi Bencana Geologi Indonesia (CVGHM). Video di media sosial menunjukkan sedikit kepanikan di antara warga atas letusan, yang mengirimkan segumpal abu putih ke langit biru.
