Spirit primer aérea estadounidense servicios a Palmerola
La aerolínea low cost americana Spirit Airlines se convertirá en la primera aerolínea en anunciar vuelos desde Estados Unidos al recién inaugurado Aeropuerto Internacional Palmerola/XPL) en Honduras, anunció la aerolínea el Miércoles 28/07.
Spirit ofrecerá vuelos sin escalas entre el Aeropuerto Internacional de Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood/FLL, el Aeropuerto Internacional de Miami/MIA y el Aeropuerto Intercontinental George Bush/IAH hacia Palmerola, Honduras, a partir del 17 de Noviembre de 2021, según un comunicado de prensa de la aerolínea. Los huéspedes que vuelen desde las zonas de Tegucigalpa y Comayagua podrán conectarse a través de Fort Lauderdale a más de 35 ciudades de Estados Unidos. “Nuestro nuevo servicio aéreo al área de Tegucigalpa ofrece opciones de viaje sin escalas convenientes tanto para el turismo de Honduras como para nuestros huéspedes que buscan visitar a familiares y amigos. Tenemos una larga historia de asociación con Honduras que ha servido a San Pedro Sula desde 2007, y nos complace expandir esta relación y convertirnos en la primera aerolínea en conectar el aeropuerto comercial más nuevo de Honduras con los Estados Unidos“, dijo John Kirby, Vicepresidente de Planificación de Redes de Spirit Airlines.
Spirit comenzó a trabajar en Honduras en 2007 con vuelos sin escalas al Aeropuerto Internacional Ramón Villeda Morales/SAP de San Pedro Sula. El nuevo servicio sin escalas a XPL será el segundo aeropuerto de la aerolínea servido en la República de Honduras.

The American low cost airline Spirit Airlines will become the first airline to announce flights from the United States to the recently opened Palmerola International Airport/XPL in Honduras, the airline announced on Wednesday 07/28.
Spirit will offer nonstop flights between Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport/FLL, Miami International Airport / MIA and George Bush Intercontinental Airport/IAH to Palmerola, Honduras, beginning November 17, 2021, according to a statement from airline press. Guests flying from the Tegucigalpa and Comayagua areas will be able to connect via Fort Lauderdale to more than 35 cities in the United States. “Our new air service to the Tegucigalpa area offers convenient nonstop travel options for both Honduran tourism and our guests looking to visit family and friends. We have a long history of association with Honduras that has served San Pedro Sula since 2007, and we are pleased to expand this relationship and become the first airline to connect Honduras’ newest commercial airport to the United States”, said John Kirby, Vice President of Network Planning for Spirit Airlines.
Spirit began working in Honduras in 2007 with nonstop flights to the Ramón Villeda Morales/SAP International Airport in San Pedro Sula. The new nonstop service to XPL will be the airline’s second airport served in the Republic of Honduras.
