Regulador SACAA suspende vuelos Comair en Sudáfrica
La Autoridad de Aviación Civil de Sudáfrica (SACAA) ha dejado en tierra todos los vuelos de Comair y Kulula Airlines en Sudáfrica. En un comunicado el Sábado, 12 de Marzo de 2022, Comair dijo que sus vuelos de Kulula y British Airways han sido suspendidos, y se espera que la puesta a tierra dure veinticuatro horas. Comair Limited es una aerolínea con sede en Sudáfrica que opera servicios regulares en rutas nacionales como franquicia de British Airways. También opera como la aerolínea de bajo costo bajo su propia marca Kulula.
“Comair lamenta que nuestros vuelos hayan sido suspendidos por la CAA durante 24 horas. Esto afectará tanto a British Airways (operada por Comair). Nuestro equipo ejecutivo se está involucrando con la CAA de manera urgente. Comair cree que no hay justificación para la suspensión. Se recomienda a todos los pasajeros reservados para el sábado 12 de marzo de 2022 que no viajen al aeropuerto a menos que puedan hacer una reserva en una aerolínea alternativa. Comair lamenta profundamente las molestias causadas y estamos haciendo todo lo posible para restablecer nuestras operaciones lo antes posible. Un portavoz de la autoridad de aviación civil SACAA dijo que la puesta a tierra se debió a preocupaciones de seguridad en torno a los aviones de Comair. “Esta decisión se tomó después de una investigación sobre la reciente serie de incidentes de seguridad en el operador. Esta es una suspensión preventiva por un período de 24 horas, dentro del cual el operador debe demostrar al regulador que los sistemas de gestión de riesgos y seguridad son efectivos en la gestión de peligros potenciales”, dijo la agencia aeronáutica sudafricana.
Comair entró en rescate empresarial en Mayo de 2020 después de que la pandemia diezmara la industria de las aerolíneas y los viajes. Reanudó el vuelo en Diciembre de 2020, mientras estaba en rescate empresarial. A spokesman for civil aviation authority SACAA said the grounding was due to safety concerns surrounding Comair’s planes. “This decision was made after an investigation into the recent series of security incidents at the operator. This is a preventive suspension for a period of 24 hours, within which the operator must demonstrate to the regulator that the risk management systems and safety are effective in managing potential hazards”, said the South African aviation agency.
Comair entered business rescue in May 2020 after the pandemic decimated the airline and travel industry. He resumed flying in December 2020, while on business rescue. Subsequently, it has been forced to start and stop the flight several times in the last eighteen months due to the ongoing confinement restrictions.

Comair het sakeredding in Mei 2020 betree nadat die pandemie die lugredery en reisbedryf vernietig het. Hy het in Desember 2020 weer begin vlieg terwyl hy op sakeredding was. Daarna is dit die afgelope agtien maande verskeie kere gedwing om die vlug te begin en te stop weens die voortslepende inperking.
