British Airways ha inaugurado el día jueves el lanzamiento de sus servicios non-stop Londres—Fort Lauderdale

El jueves, funcionarios de Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood marcaron la llegada del primer vuelo de British Airways de Londres con un saludo de cañón de agua. Eso siguió a una ceremonia de corte de cinta en la puerta de la Terminal 4 antes de que el primer vuelo saliera de Londres hacia Fort Lauderdale.

British Airways se convirtió en la segunda aerolínea internacional en ofrecer vuelos directos entre el Aeropuerto de Londres-Gatwick y Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood empleando aeronaves Boeing 777-200ER, con una frecuencia de cuatro vuelos por semana. El Boeing 777-200ER tiene una configuración en tres clases con 48 Business, 24 Prime Economy y 203 en Economy.

«Nuestra investigación e inteligencia nos dice que hay demanda en Fort Lauderdale tanto dentro como fuera y para negocios y para el ocio», dijo Doug Caines, vicepresidente de operaciones, seguridad y desarrollo de negocios de British Airways durante las festividades de lanzamiento en Fort Lauderdale- Hollywood.

British Airways ahora está sirviendo cuatro aeropuertos en el Estado de Florida, con cada uno que ofrece diversas oportunidades que conectan para los viajeros, Caines observó. Actualmente British Airways realiza frecuencias desde el Aeropuerto de Londres Heathrow hacia Miami, desde el Aeropuerto Gatwick hacia Orlando y Tampa. Con los cuatro mercados, incluyendo a Fort Lauderdale, la aerolínea ahora ofrece más asientos entre Londres y Florida que cualquier otro operador, dijo Caines.

On Thursday, Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood (FL) officials marked the arrival of the first British Airways flight from London with a water cannon salute. That followed a ribbon cutting ceremony at the door of Terminal 4 before the first flight left London to Fort Lauderdale.

British Airways became the second international carrier to offer direct flights between Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood and London Gatwick Airport using Boeing 777-200ER aircraft, with a frequency of four flights per week. The Boeing 777-200ER has a configuration in three classes with 48 Business, 24 Prime Economy and 203 in Economy.

«Our research and intelligence tells us there is demand in Fort Lauderdale both inside and out and for business and leisure,» said Doug Caines, vice president of operations, security and business development for British Airways during the launch festivities in Fort Lauderdale – Hollywood.

British Airways is now serving four airports in the State of Florida, with each offering different connecting opportunities for travelers, Caines noted. British Airways currently operates frequencies from London Heathrow Airport to Miami, from Gatwick Airport to Orlando and Tampa. With all four markets, including Fort Lauderdale, the airline now offers more seats between London and Florida than any other carrier, Caines said. A \ W
