Los analistas rusos van a realizar pruebas de túnel de viento en los modelos del Irkut MC-21 equipado con el motor Aviadvigatel PD-14
El PD-14 es el motor rival al Pratt & Whitnay PW1400G, que se ha instalado en el avión inicial del constructor ruso Irkut.
Los investigadores del Instituto Central de Aero-hidrodinámica deben examinar las características dde comportamiento en el túnel de viento del Irkut MC-21 con los nuevos motores PD-14. El instituto dice que esto incluirá la simulación de altos ángulos de ataque y la evaluación de la aeronave en las actitudes de despegue y aterrizaje. Mientras que por otro lado, United Engine de Rusia ha estado probando el PD-14 en un Ilyushin Il-76.

Researchers at the Central Institute of Aerohydrodynamics should examine the performance characteristics of the Irkut MC-21’s wind tunnel with the new PD-14 engines. The institute says that this will include simulation of high angles of attack and evaluation of the aircraft in takeoff and landing attitudes. While on the other hand, United Engine of Russia has been testing the PD-14 in an Ilyushin Il-76.
