Un Boeing 737-700 de Fiji Airways sobre el Pacífico el 15 de septiembre de 2017, reportó problemas con el oxígeno de la tripulación
El vuelo FJ-430 de Fiji Airways con un avión Boeing 737-700, con matrícula DQ-FJF, realizando la conección desde Auckland (Nueva Zelanda) a Suva (Fiji), estaba en ruta en FL340 cerca de 350nm al norte de Auckland cuando la tripulación descendió el avión a FL100, regresó a Auckland debido a un problema con el suministro de oxígeno de la tripulación. El avión aterrizó con seguridad en Auckland alrededor de 2:10 horas después de la salida.

Fiji Airways’ FJ-430 flight with a Boeing 737-700, with registration DQ-FJF aircraft connecting from Auckland to Suva, was enroute on FL340 near 350nm north of Auckland when the crew descended the aircraft to FL100, returned to Auckland because of a problem with the oxygen supply of the crew. The plane landed safely in Auckland around 2:10 hours after departure.
The airline reported that the plane returned because of a problem with an air valve. The passengers were re-booked on the next two flights, the remaining passengers were taken to the hotels and will arrive in Suva the next day.
The passenger claims that an announcement was made, alerting passengers that there was “not enough oxygen” on the plane. A spokesman for Fiji Airways said the flight was forced to return to Auckland for about 60 minutes on the flight “because of a mechanical problem with an airplane air valve.”
The B737 aircraft returned to Auckland without incident, the flight was canceled and most of the passengers were transferred to two separate Fiji Airways flights to Fiji this afternoon, departing today at 1.26pm and 6pm. The rest will be staying in Auckland overnight and will travel tomorrow Saturday.
